DAY WISE ITINERARY

Day 1 – Sunday - London

• Arrive London, meet your dedicated English speaking program manager and board your private coach for a sightseeing tour of London

• Lunch to be served in a local restaurant

• Visit the Famous Tower of London and admire the precious Crown Jewels

• Welcome dinner with your host family

• Accommodation in homestays with your host families

Day 2 – Monday - London

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Today, travel like a Londoner on the world famous ‘Tube’

• Enjoy guided visit of a London University, such as Imperial College London

• Enjoy packed lunch provided by your host family

• Science lecture given by a lecturer from Imperial College London, London School of Economics or Kings College London

• Visit the Science Museum, the most visited science and technology museum in Europe with over 15,000 objects on display, including Stephenson’s Rocket and the Apollo 10 command capsule

• Dinner and overnight in homestays with your host family

Laboratory workshop

Day 4 – Wednesday - Cambridge

University of Cambridge

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Explore aspects of science and technology, from making our own bio-fuel, using a crash test rig or analyzing our own DNA at a half day state-of-the-art laboratory workshop

• Enjoy packed lunch provided by your host family

• Visit Faraday's Magnetic Laboratory at the Royal Institute as it was in the 1850’s. Try your hand at our chemical elements game, as you test your skills at spotting the 10 elements discovered at the RI

• Dinner and overnight in homestays with your host families

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Transfer to Cambridge for your guided orientation of this stunning University city

• Visit Trinity or Kings College

• Packed lunch provided by your host family

• Visit to the Cambridge Science Park for a private tour, presentation and Q&A session at the UK’s oldest and most prestigious science park

• Dinner and overnight in homestays with your host families

Day 5 – Thursday - London

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Stand on the world famous Greenwich Meridian Line, representing the divide between the Eastern & Western hemispheres

• Visit Flamsteed House, the original Royal Observatory in Greenwich, built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1675.

• Packed lunch provided by your host family

• Take the River Cruise on London's oldest thoroughfare from Greenwich to the Thames Barrier

• Visit the Thames Barrier the world’s largest movable flood barrier and enjoy a talk and Q & A session, covering topics such as the history of the River Thames and the risk of flooding in London, as well as describing the environment and wildlife of the river.

• Dinner and overnight in homestays with your host families

Educational workshop at the Zoo

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Become a Marine Biologist for a day at the London Aquarium. Enjoy privileged access to the working areas usually closed to the public, where you can learn about extensive breeding, research and conservation program and see how the fish food is prepared for over 600 marine and fresh-water species.

• Enjoy packed lunch provided by your host family

• Glide through the London sky on the EDF London Eye Ferris Wheel

• Dinner and overnight in homestays with your host families

• Breakfast to be served at your homestays

• Take part in a unique learning session at the Zoo, exploring animal objects and live animals to discover similarities and differences between the animal groups, genetics & breeding, animal learning & intelligence and endangered species conservation

• Enjoy packed lunch provided by your host family

• Discover the secrets of Alexander Fleming’s Laboratory Museum where he discovered penicillin in 1928.
