Transcript of Future Leaders Motivation Seminar 2012 booklet
“Future leaders Motivation Seminar represents a foundation in AIESEC Bosnia and
Herzegovina because it is giving the opportunity for young students to engage in the
work of organization and to find out everything about the organization from it’s
members, also it represents a chance for current members to work on their self-
development, think about the future of AIESEC in B&H and contribute to it themselves.
My first FLMS was one of the key points of my life, and it changed the course of my
further path in total. After that conference AIESEC brought hundreds of friends from all
around the globe in my life, it gave me a chance to improve my skills, to travel around
different countries such as Greece, Russia, etc. and it helped me boost up my confidence
and my faith in better tomorrow. Today, after 3 years have passed, AIESEC in B&H
represents my family and AIESEC creates my lifestyle. I am happy to be the one who,
together with my MC team and all members, is now encouraging people to take their first
step in AIESEC and to prepare for a change of a lifetime. The only way of finding out if
AIESEC can truly change your life is to take the risk and become a part of this conference
and a part of history.”

About FLMS
FLMS, which stands for Future Leaders Motivation Seminar, is the largest
national conference organized by the oldest Local Committee in AIESEC BIH, LC
Sarajevo. The main purpose of the conference is introduction of students to the
world’s student-run organization – AIESEC, motivating them to join AIESEC, to
experience leadership, to meet new people and become part of the global
network, and to learn something about themselves. Besides that, purpose of
this seminar is to intensively work on building skills of old members and
knowledge for their next step in the organization, and also to introduce their
experience to the potential new members.

About Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina is the heart-shaped land
which lies in the heart of southeast Europe. It is
here that eastern and western civilizations met,
sometimes clashed, but more often enriched and
reinforced each other throughout its long and
fascinating history.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is a long name for a
country that measures just over 50 000 km2.
Bosnia covers the north and centre of the country
with its name probably derived from 'bosana', an
old Indo-European word meaning water, which
Bosnia
has no
short of.
The southern region of ancient Hum,
ruled by HercegStjepan (Duke Stjepan)
,was later named Herzegovina after the
region was conquered by the invading
Ottomans. Perhaps what is most
important for the visitor to know today,
though, is that Bosnia and Herzegovinais a stunningly beautiful country with a vast
array of landscapes, cultures, traditions and people. And as the old cliché goes
'people make the place' – and B&H prides
itself on its hospitality and treating our
guests as if they were family members. And
family we take to heart.

About AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina
AIESEC in Bosnia and Herzegovina exists since 1953, which makes us one of the
oldest AIESEC countries in the world. As part of former Yugoslavia, LC Sarajevo
was the first LC from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
One of the things that we are the most proud of is the story of AIESEC in Bosnia
and Herzegovina, particularly in Sarajevo, during the war from 1992. to 1995.
AIESEC managed to survive, to work under conditions that no man, especially
LC could work.
AIESEC Bosnia and Herzegovina gained member status as independent country
in 1993.
In the beginning of the 2000's LC Sarajevo became a full member and four
years later 2004 - LC Mostar. However, from this year, two another LCs have
opened – official extensions in Zenica and Banja Luka. We are very proud of
the progress we make every year.
