News Release EXCHANGE EUROPE REGION Office of the Chief of Public Affairs Unit 24580 APO AE 09245 Mainz-Kastel, Germany DSN 334-2873 Tel.: 06134-715-103 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE RELEASE No. 2012-16 April 4, 2012 The Exchange Announces Outage of ESSO Fuel Ration Card System on April 12 (0000-1100 CET), 2012 MAINZ-KASTEL, Germany –The Army & Air Force Exchange Service has a scheduled system outage, which will impact fuel purchases and the ESSO Fuel Ration Card System for Germany, 0000-1100 hours, Thursday, 12 Apr (Central European Time). During these hours, customers in Germany will not be able to use their ESSO prepay option, obtain/replace fuel ration cards and/or make any transactions on their accounts at either Exchange gas stations or local ESSO stations. Hence, fuel purchases will not be available at our Exchange facilities during this period. Customers should plan accordingly, fuel up, and perform any ESSO card activities prior to the outage, or wait until such time outage ends. The outage is necessary to perform critical upgrade to our Exchange mainframe system.
