Over nearly three decades, I’m proud to have led the
team at F & T Group as Chairman and CEO with a vision
in creating transformative neighborhoods through real
estate development. Staying true to our motto of “global
vision for development excellence”, we have successfully
achieved the firm’s strategic initiatives including real
estate development presence from the New York City
metropolitan area to the Yangtze River Delta area
in China. The company has successfully achieved
integration as a full service real estate company,
combining development, design, planning, construction,
property management and sales and marketing. We
are truly committed to delivering excellence across
our spectrum of real estate initiatives, whether it’s
assembling and repositioning millions of square feet of
mixed use real estate in China or executing boutique
projects in downtown Manhattan.
I’ve always had a grander, more ambitious vision for
downtown Flushing. There is an old saying, “Think
about the origin of the water you drink”. In other
words, never forget your origins and the community
which nourished your growth. They are the very
foundation that have built your existence and paves
the pathway to your future. The Vice-Chairman of F &
T Group, Sunny Chiu and I are both immigrants from
Taiwan. One of our major objectives as a company is to
develop downtown Flushing, which is predominantly
Asian neighborhood, into a world-class city through
our existing land holdings. We have a forward-looking
vision with global inflection, and aim to set the bar in
living and working standards. It’s about translating F
& T’s ideas into comprehensive and vibrant mixed-use
developments that demonstrate diversity, integration,
and sustainability in the area.

Flushing Commons is a joint venture of F&T Group, the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation, and AECOM Capital to redevelop a five-acre site in downtown Flushing, New York. The project will transform what is now a municipal parking lot into a vibrant new mixed-use development, creating approximately 2,600 construction jobs and 1,900 permanent jobs. The 1.8 million square foot mixed-use development designed by Perkins Eastman is being built by Tishman Construction.

In 2000, after recognizing the enormous opportunities for cooperation between the U.S. and Asia, F&T Group established an international real estate presence in China.
The company continued to flourish in both New York and in Asia and in 2007 F&T Group cooperated with J.P. Morgan Asset Management to fund and develop the World Trade Center in Nanjing, China. This development, which totaled 4.7 million square feet in GFA and cost approximately $800 million, is located in the southern part of the Hexi CBD, a new financial district designed by the local Chinese government. In addition to working closely with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, F&T Group also invited the renowned developer and manager of Nanjing’s luxury shopping center – Deji Group to join their Nanjing development team in 2013.

The Nanjing World Trade Center is being developed by the F&T Group and its partners, who are investing in the project together with a real estate fund managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Global Real Assets. The chosen location is already home to many high-rise office buildings, a park, and one of the largest convention centers in China. The project broke ground in 2010 and is scheduled to be completed by 2015.

Fultonex’s portfolio is comprised of five lots occupying a total of approximately 250,000 square feet and 1,000 spaces under management in downtown Flushing.
