1. PearsonVUE Browser Lock Prior to seating any candidates for live exams, you must download the PearsonVUE Browser Lock secure browser installer off the VSS website and install it on every exam delivery workstation. VSS will register you for the TDFT-A-BE exam on every exam delivery workstation. You must run the TDFT at every exam delivery workstation to ensure exams run properly on each workstation.

Download Pearson VUE Browser Lock Prior to launching and delivering any IBT exam in the Zero Footprint Test Center, you must first download the Pearson VUE Browser Lock secure browser off the VSS website and install it on every exam delivery workstation.

1. On the Administration workstation, open Internet Explorer and navigate to the VSS website https://vss.pearsonvue.com/.

2. Enter your Username, Password, and Site ID and click Login.

The VSS website home page appears.

3. Click the DOWNLOADS button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.

4. Click the Testing Systems Application + Support Files link on the File Download Utility page.

5. Locate the Pearson VUE Browser Lock file and click the link.

6. When the File Save As ribbon appears, click the Save drop-down arrow and select Save As from the menu.

7. Navigate to a network directory that all the Exam Delivery workstations can access or to a USB drive and click Save.

8. When the Download has Completed ribbon appears, click Open folder.

The PearsonVUE Browser Lock.msi file appears in the Windows Explorer directory window.

Install Pearson VUE Browser Lock In order to install the secure browser on the exam delivery workstation you must place the installer file on the desktop. You must save any open files and close all open windows prior to installing the secure browser.

1. On the Exam Delivery workstation, open Windows Explorer and locate the PearsonVUE Browser Lock.msi file. Copy the .msi file to the exam delivery workstation desktop from the network location or USB drive.

Make sure to copy and paste the .msi file. Do not move it.

2. Before beginning the installation process, you must save any open files and close all open windows.

3. To begin the installation process, double-click the PearsonVUE Browser Lock.msi file.

4. Click Run in the Open File – Security Warning dialog box.

5. Select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement check box and click Install.

The installation occurs and then Exam Launchpad opens to the Login screen.

6. Press the Alt+F4 keys on the keyboard to close the secure browser.

The Close Browser link is currently not working properly.

7. Click Yes in the Browser Lock – Stop Browser Warning dialog box.

A new shortcut to the PearsonVUE Browser Lock secure browser has been placed on the desktop.

8. Delete the PearsonVUE Browser Lock.msi file off the exam delivery workstation.

Run TDFT-A-BE on every exam delivery workstation

Your local VUE Support Specialist (VSS) team has registered you for the TDFT-A-BE exam for each exam delivery workstation in your zero footprint test center. If you have any trouble in running the exam, please contact VSS for assistance.

Unlock exam for delivery using Site Manager

Before you can launch an exam, you must first unlock it in Site Manager. You may only unlock appointments that are scheduled for the current day. An appointment automatically relocks after 12 hours if it is not delivered. Only users with the May admit candidates and deliver exams permission may unlock exams.

1. On the Administration workstation, open Internet Explorer and navigate to https://apps.pearsonvue.com/site/ to open Site Manager.

You may want to create a shortcut on your desktop or add this link to your favorites to easily navigate to Site Manager.

2. Select the desired client security certificate from the list and click OK.

3. Type in your Username, Password, and Site ID in the Site Manager Login window and click Sign In.

The Site Manager landing page opens to the Calendar.

4. Select the Availability category and the Roster tab.

5. Select the desired exam in the list and click Unlock Exam.

6. Click OK in the Appointment Unlocked dialog box.

The exam Status changes to Unlocked.

Run PearsonVUE Browser Lock to launch exam

You must run the TDFT-A-BE exam on every exam delivery workstation where exams will be delivered – prior to any candidate sitting for a live exam.

1. On the Exam Delivery Workstation, locate the PearsonVUE Browser Lock shortcut and double-click it.

2. Exam Launchpad opens in a secure browser. Enter your Launchpad Username, Password and Site ID and click Sign In.

3. The Appointment Selection list is displayed. Click the Select Appointment button for the desired exam.

4. In the Appointment Confirmation page, verify the Candidate and Exam information is correct. If you selected the wrong exam, click the Return to Appointment Selection link and select the correct appointment.

5. Click Launch Exam.

6. The exam launches. At the end of the exam when you exit the exam, you are returned to the Exam Launchpad login screen.

7. Press the Alt+F4 keys on the keyboard to close the secure browser.

8. Click Yes in the Browser Lock – Stop Browser Warning dialog box.
