From the MD & CEO’s desk…
Dear Teammates & Partners,
There seems to be some churn happening in the market–lot of new prospects are
approaching us. The quarter also saw addition of new customers. There are number
of Freight Exchange initiatives which are getting launched in different parts of the
country. Not too sure whether they are really delivering some value to the chain, but
things, after a gap of 24 years of regularization seems to be moving.
Your Company has decided to implement SAP to manage its entire resources which
will move it up the value chain a few steps. It is your support and demand that
keeps us moving. Keep on demanding and that will make us slimmer, trimmer &
further value creator.
Warm regards,
Shoummo K Acharya

This year we got delayed in having our annual outbound training program by 4 months. But the wait was compensated by
the pulse racing training program that was imparted by Mr. Surajit Ray and Neil Law. 26 employees from different
departments along with the Managing Director & President spent two full days at a beach resort in Chandipur, Odisha.
Team building was the main motto and bonhomie was in the air.

2015.

Strangely enough, eTrans did not have any significant presence in the city of Kolkata, despite being
a Kolkata based Company doing business for 15 years. This drought was ended by CESC, the power
giant owned by Mr. Sanjeev Goenka (RP-SG Group). November 2014, eTrans started with just 47
vehicles of Supplies Department and today, within a year, 480 CESC vehicles are moving in the city
of Kolkata fitted with eTrans GPS units. All these would not have been possible without the
support of CESC officials – particularly Mr. Arindam Bhowmick, Sr. Manager (Materials) – who
initiated the first order. Supplies was the first Department in CESC who had taken the initiative to
install GPS in all their internal fleets in spite of several IR hindrance. Since issuance of fuel &
payment to vendors in terms of fuel are linked with eTrans tracking data, some customized reports
were developed by eTrans as per CESC’s requirement.Arindam Bhowmick

In their words…eTrans has made the journey quite satisfying
Says Mr. Bhowmick, “The type of reports and after-sales service that we received from eTrans, I am not sure that other Tracking
Companies would have been able to give us. We had installed GPS to increase effectiveness of our service and after a year, we can say
that our endeavor has been fairly successful. Of course there has been hurdles, opposition, but eTrans has made the journey quite
satisfying. There has been quite a few teething problems, but eTrans’ commitment towards service has solved them effectively. Their
entire team has constantly been in touch with us to know what we require, particularly Mr. Sovan Bose and has delivered the desired
reports.”
Starting with Supplies Department, eTrans now has almost all the CESC Departments as its customer and working with CESC has
become a great experience for eTrans. All officials of CESC are extremely cooperative. We really cherish the rapport of all the CESC
officials and do consider this esteemed Client as a prominent feather in our cap.
Naresh Kumar & Co. Pvt. Ltd (NKCPL) has been a customer of eTrans
for many years at Jamshedpur. So when they started a mega project at
West Bokaro Coal Field of Tata Steel, eTrans was a natural choice. The
project was known as “Think Mega Do Mega”. Our Business
Development Manager, Sunny Kumar, met Mr. V K Karn, President,
NKCPL for a formal feedback on completion of almost one year of
operation. In his own words, “eTrans was referred to us by our
Jamshedpur Head. The experience has been almost satisfactory. Though
initially there were some issues, but eTrans has constantly been in touch
with our people and come up with solutions. Services are improving day
by day. But I use the term almost, because you need to raise the level of
service a bit. I am hopeful you will do that. You need to push yourself a
bit & come upto a level where eTrans is pro-active rather than reactive.”

eTrans services are improving day by day
Mr Karn suggested that if some technological improvements can be made so that without deployment, product wise
exception reports can be generated automatically. Also he has asked to limit repeated alerts of similar nature, so that the
recipient does not get confused. Mr. Karn wished eTrans a very bright future with NKCPL’s other projects.
