Fun & Movement

Mass Activity

After warming up, the children were divided into 4 teams for a mini relay competition!

First, the teams were allocated their ball colours ;

take turns to collect their team’s colour ball

and place them into their respective hoop.

Let the relay begin!

The children took turns to

sprint to the hoop at the end; pick a ball; sprint back to the starting point.

When they return, the next person will sprint ahead!

To give it a little boost for the following round,

the children jumped to their destination with the ball; place it back into the hoop and sprint back!

Love 1 & 2

The children really enjoyed the Hi-5 sprint that they did last week.

This time, instead of the teacher at the end of the sprint,

the children took turns!

Once their friend gives them a Hi-5, they would then switch places!

Taking turns, the children then complete a drill.

Picking up a ball, sprinting to the marker on the other end,

aim, and throw the ball in to the box!

Instead of sprinting to the other end, the Love 1 children jumped through the hoops to the throwing point.

To further develop their eye-foot coordination,

the Love children were challenged to do jump through alternate hoops using

both feet in the first hoop, then outside the second hoop

Many were able to execute this skill. Well done!

Joy & Peace

The Joy & Peace children played a game of ‘Monkey’!

Gameplay:

The children form a circle surrounding the player in the middle.

The player in the middle would be the ‘monkey’.

Players on the outer circle must pass the ball to one another while the monkey attempts to intercept it.

Once intercepted, the monkey will take the place of the player who last touched the ball, switching places.

Rules:

The players cannot pass the ball to the friend on their left and on the right.

The players must pass the ball within 5 seconds.

The monkey cannot snatch the ball from the hands of a player.

An additional monkey was added to the Peace children’s game to increase the level of difficulty.

The children were excited to see and experience how they can transfer the skills

that they have gained from the different drills that they have practiced into the gameplay.

Art & Craft

Love 1 & 2

We made a really creepy crawly craft …….. a spider and it is able to move up and down!

First, the kids pasted spiders onto the white paper.

The next step was to make the spider … they had to thread 4 pipe cleaners through the 8 holes on egg carton

This was indeed a test of their fine motor skills, eye hand coordination and patience!

And they all did it!

Look at that concentration and determination on their faces to thread the pipe cleaners…
