Taste of the Derby: The Official Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Party

Head to Fifth and Rose, the Pendry’s cocktail bar, for a May 5 Kentucky Derby viewing party from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Cocktails will be mixed with Woodford Reserve, the official bourbon of the Kentucky Derby, along with classic Southern-inspired bites. Special menu highlights include Southern bellinis with macerated cherries and caviar, cheddar polenta cakes with grilled tiger shrimp, okra and tomato jam, pimento cheese and grilled focaccia, Woodford Reserve Mint Juleps and more. Races for viewing begin at 10:13 a.m. and last throughout the afternoon.

Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara/Chateau Montelena Wine Dinner

On May 30, Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara will host a five-course dinner paired with Chateau Montelena wines. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a reception on the terrace followed by dinner at 6 p.m. in Seasons’ Private Dining Room. Menu highlights include, yellowfin tuna carpaccio with stone fruit, avocado and watercress paired with a 2016 Riesling and grilled lamb chops with braised cherries, tarragon peas and Islay scotch paired with a2015 Zinfandel. The wine dinner is $150 per person and seating is limited to 30 guests. Reservations can be made by calling 760-814-8677.
