2018 We have had a fantastic year at Portarlington Primary. Thank you to all of our families for your unwavering support of our school and of all the children. Our facilities have gradually taken shape over the past year. We now have the physical environment to match our teaching and learning programs and instructional practice. Thank you to our Student Services Support Officers who have worked with our children, staff and families this year. Our amazing SSS staff have included Gary Banks, Jayne Worthington, Janine Elias, Megan Hay-Smith and Rod Heppell. Over the summer break, painters will be painting the portables and the hall. The new play equipment will also be installed. Staffing 2019 We would like to say a final and fond farewell to Mike Nelson who is taking up his position as a Learning Specialist at Drysdale Primary School. ‘Au Revoir’ also to Rhiannah Sgarbi who is taking a year of leave from teaching to travel. We wish them well on their their new adventures. We welcome Tom Kearney and Dylan Dunoon to our school.

2019 TERM DATES 2019– School Procedures & Operations There have been lots of changes to our school operations and procedures for 2019 due to the changes in the school facilities and the changes to the school yard. We will endeavour to keep families as up to date as possible with any further changes to our procedures for 2019 2019 School Terms -Starting Dates

Our school grounds are supervised from 8.30am each day. This will support many of our parents and caregivers who have work or appointments first thing in the morning.

Classes start at 8.50am and children will be required to be on time each day.

Students arriving after 9am will need to enter through the Front en-trance of the school.
