Housing Development, Portarlington bcdh The site is located at the edge of Portarlington, on one of the main access routes connecting the village to the train station. The site frontage onto the road is used to form a gateway to the housing development, with a set back providing a strong form behind landscaped forecourts. The proposal is that a commercial use would occupy the lower levels of these buildings, with residential units over. Passing through this entrance zone, the main spine road curves gradually arriving at the pedestrian link access point at the end of the site.
