The Blue House Frida Kahlo in Coyoacan, Mexico City, where he lived and worked, was donated by Diego Rivera after his death in 1957 and is now a museum which houses objects of his life. His former home is a popular destination for tourists

• 2007 marks 100 years of Frida's birth, so in his native country and in the world, samples were prepared, events and tributes to celebrate this great occasion. As an example, a French airline flights to Mexico exhibited films Frida and the menu offered to its clients have names alluding to the painter.

• The doctors diagnosed a pulmonary embolism, when the dawn of July 13, 1954, was found dead in his bed. The last one sentence in his diary, abruptly interrupted by his death, said: "I hope the exit is joyful and hope never again ham s." Apparently, a paragraph referring Page s nothing more than leaving the hospital, coincides with the end of his diary and the end of his days.

• 1925: On September 17, suffers from a serious car accident when a train hit the bus that was carrying, along with his friend Alejandro Gomez Arias, from school to home. Spend a month in the Red Cross hospital where he began his love of painting. Previously it had taken some drawing classes in graphic advertising Fernando Fernandez, whose study was very close to the school

• You can not separate life from the work of Frida Kahlo.
