Ranging from Deauville, with its passion for horses and the cinema, and chic and sporty Biarritz to Cannes, the haunt of stars and celebrities, and Collioure, where Fauvism was born, each resort has its own inimitable history and character. As well as their beaches, water sports and countless cultural and natural treasures, each and every resort provides an opportunity for leisurely strolls, some shopping, a chance to enjoy local products, and to take the time to live life à la française! There’s never been a better time to head for the French coast!

On this occasion, Cabourg will host some of the biggest names in French, European and international cinema, presenting their films to the public or receiving a prize.
www.festival-cabourg.com CABOURG MON AMOUR - 28/30 June 2019
A festival by the beach with the latest in dance tunes. That’s Cabourg mon Amour. In just 5 years, this electro-pop music festival has established itself as one of the hottest tickets in France. Its success? Its bold and resolutely diverse programme, in a unique location, is the secret of its success: a truly fantastic summer break!
http://cabourgmonamour.fr DINNER ON THE SEA FRONT - 24 August 2019
With more than 5,200 guests in 2018, the Dinner on the Sea Wall is undoubtedly the largest dinner in France with a sea view! Imagine a table that stretches over 4 kilometres, surrounded on each side by families, friends, neighbours... sharing a meal on Marcel Proust promenade to the sound of concerts and passers-by.
www.cabourg.fr/diner-sur-la-digue
The heart of Cabourg beats to the rhythm of the tides. Give in to the joys of the fine sandy beach and its 3.6km
long pedestrianised promenade, or admire the many Belle Époque villas and delight in the fragrant scents of the Casino gardens. A renowned seaside resort, Cabourg gives you the chance to try out a range of sports activities with your family. The place known as the “plage des romantiques” is also somewhere to enjoy a stroll along Marcel Proust promenade. An ode to relaxation... The town’s soul is expressed through strong traditions such as the Romantic Film Festival, the Dîner sur la Digue (Dinner on the Sea Front), the Toiles de mer (Sea paintings)... and of course, the Summer festivals at the racecourse. All these events are part of the reputation and identity of the resort.

NEWS AND KEY EVENTSFESTIVAL PLANCHES CONTACT - October/November 2019
Created in 2010, this event presents the work of guest photographers in residence in Deauville, to link their world of photography with the town. Year after year, the festival stimulates and connects the interacting viewpoints of established photographers, emerging photographers and fresh new talent. All these viewpoints, as different and varied as the photographic techniques they use, reproduce landscapes or portraits, in black and white or in colour, as documentary, narrative or fiction. Each year, they offer renewed insight into what makes up a town, with all the diversity of its moods, its emblematic or unknown places, its regular events and yearly rhythms, its inhabitants and visitors. HORIZON MER: A NEW DISTRICT CREATED IN DEAUVILLE
A new district is coming to life with the redevelopment of the peninsula opposite the station, highlighting Deauville’s maritime facade around the Morny Basin. A venue for socialising, cultural exploration and artistic events will soon be flourishing within buildings that once belonged to Franciscan nuns.
Exploring Deauville means strolling on the boardwalk enjoying the sea front, discovering its architecture combining
the follies of the Second Empire with the golden age of the Anglo-Norman style, a well-known, protected and valued architecture, in a resort where everything is accessible on foot or by bike. It means playing on golf courses in the heart of Normandy, exploring the Estuary that inspired Dufy, or attending the unforgettable spectacle of a horse race, a polo match or an equestrian competition. It means applauding a show or a concert in the casino’s Italian theatre, discovering the new talents of American cinema, attending the award ceremony of a young photographer or writer, hearing a young soloist in their first public performance, or meeting artists inspired by the light and atmosphere of Deauville. It means discovering the flavours of the market, visiting the cellar of a Calvados producer, tasting the products of an excellent terroir, enjoying a moment of well-being or simply doing nothing, taking a moment to daydream on the fine sandy beach.

KEY EVENTSTHE HERMIONE ARRIVES IN CHERBOURG - 4/8 mai 2019
Le Cotentin in Normandy has been chosen for the first stopover of the famous replica of the frigate La Fayette since its inaugural trip to America in 2015. Linking in with the “75th anniversary of D-Day”, under the “Normandy Freedom” banner, the frigate Hermione is embarking on a major journey to Normandy. LE COTENTIN COMMEMORATES THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE D-DAY LANDINGS
Ceremonies, re-enactments, history walks, military scholarships, historical parachute jumps, exhibitions and parades of military vehicles will mark these festivities. These events and ceremonies will take place from 4 May to 30 June. LES TRAVERSÉES DE TATIHOU - 23 August to 1st September 2019
Music from the sea. The original festival programme offers the chance to share in traditional and world music. Walk to Tatihou Island at low tide, an exceptional site for a unique musical event. Concerts, cinema, events, meetings, courses and parties await you at the harbour.
In Le Cotentin, a hidden peninsula on the edge of the world, you never really stop by chance... Travellers who dare to explore
this secret country will feel the pull of the great outdoors and the power of its landscapes. This territory shaped by the sea and the trials of history is both timeless and firmly rooted in the world of today. The sea is celebrated everywhere. Even when it doesn’t border a village or a path, it penetrates the land and undulates majestically between the fields to create “havens”, while continuously making its presence felt. It offers spectacular views in a landscape that is constantly shifting and changing. Inland, Cotentin takes on a completely different look, with its exceptional heritage of castles, abbeys, groves and marshes. The coastline with its sea spray gives way to large green areas.

2 guided tours in the town organised by the Tourist Office: “La Citadelle de Porto-Vecchio”, an exciting route with guided commentary and “Et si les murs parlaient”, the Porto-Vecchio of yesteryear with a night-time guided tour and photographic projections.
Porto-Vecchio, the city of salt, sports a dazzling coastline with sublime and fine sandy beaches. In the heart of the city,
the ramparts of a 16th century citadel overlook its delightful marina. A few minutes away, the Ospedale massif leads you into the beautiful Laricciu pine forest, with ancient pathways and vertiginous waterfalls.

NEWS AND KEY EVENTSGO BOATING® - a spring weekend between 25 May and 23 June 2019
The nautical resorts will again this year be promoting the widest possible audience to try out all the water sports and activities. This event will be an opportunity for France Station Nautique to confirm its commitment to the environment. So in collaboration with the OCEANOPLASTIC association, the public will learn about the dangers of marine pollution and have the chance to engage in preventive actions. CURIOSEATY®
Curioseaty® is the name of a European itinerary that offers nautical experiences by exploring the history of the cultural heritage of maritime civilizations and societies, from antiquity to the present day. The nautical resorts will help you to discover their destination using Curioseaty® offers for a different and original experience. ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility for all is a strong commitment of France Station Nautique. So more and more nautical resorts are developing and advertising a range of water sports activities for people with disabilities.
