We live in a world where change is constant but unfortunately
most people would prefer to conform to the changes in this world
rather than transform it and become a catalyst of change instead.
Alas, theres this new breed of men and women rising above the
challenges of times. These are the people who choose not to sit
and watch while things happen around them. They are a new
breed of global Filipinos that think, speak and act by
making things happen now.
Dr. Antonio Jacalne is a long time UP professor, scientist,
microbiologist, and a Filipino. He made a remarkable discovery
and a breakthrough with his innovation in the fields of probiotic
health; a legacy that will make a difference for our country and
its people. With his unique concept and a one-of-a-kind product,
many Filipinos would finally reap the benefits and
rewards of not just being healthy but also the chance of finally
becoming financially free.
We also had the privilege to feature one of the most admirable
educators in the Philippines which gives us a great honor to be
a part in this 2nd quarters issue. Cora Doloroso is not just an
ordinary mentor; she simply loves what she does in bringing out
the best in everyone. Shes an effective motivational speaker, a
trainor, a leadership guru, an entrepreneur and a Filipino that we
can look upon as an inspiration and as an exemplary role model
for our future generation.
Last but not the least we would be featuring Dinky Hementera,
another Filipino innovator. Shes a multi-awarded inventor,a successful entrepreneur, a heroine and a champion of
environmental protection. Never have I seen a woman so
passionate, sincere and devoted to her work for her country,
the environment and in changing the lives of the Filipino
people. Shes a beacon of hope shining upon us emulating the
characters and mindset every Filipino should have.
Know more what you can do for your country. Attend our free Gift of Change Seminar held twice weekly in severalkey areas in the Makatis Central Business District. Be part of the communitythat advocates change. For reservations and schedules, You can email us [email protected] or text 0929 2187618.

help us uphold the rightful
place of a Filipino in this
world. Support our
local industry by
patronizing businesses
and products made
by Filipinos. If we
really want change for
our country, we must
begin with ourselves first.

For more than 40 years now, Cora Doloroso has been a household namesynonymous to success especially when it comes to being the best whetherin career or in life. She studied modeling and personality development inMelbourne, Australia. After her years of training she decided to put up her
own modeling school in the Philippines. Starting out with just 3 students,it didnt take long for her to realize her dreams and make a name of herown. Soon she found herself flooded with enrollees lining up for her schooland created a reputation that made her a favorite of celebrities and highprofile personalities. A number of the school alumni flourished to becomeluminaries in their own fields. Among the beauty queens were MaritoniDaya, Baby Delgado, Minnie Cagatao, Yora Stone, Jo Francisco, Yelda MarieMendoza, Armi Barbara Crespo, Aileen Damiles and Maggie Wilson.
There were ramp models, singers and movie stars who became a partof the schools enrollees like Melissa Suarez, Rosanna Ruiz, Xipoteca, GeenaZablan, Alta Tan, Lerma dela Cruz, Lou Bonnevie, Rochelle del Carmen, MillieBeltran, Desiree Destreza, Susan Henson, Leila Hermosa, Hilda Koronel, LykaUgarte, GMA newscaster Rhea Santos and a lot more.
The 70s proved to be a very challenging year in her young career. Shediversified the schools services and started to shift focus on SecretarialProfession, a short course that provided students the necessary skills toqualify them for immediate employment. It was in 1979 when the CoraDoloroso Modeling School was changed to what it is known today as CoraDoloroso Career Centre (CDCC) and began introducing Self DevelopmentCourse for men.
The 90s ushered in new challenges for her school and made a bold movewhen it opened in Cebu. In 1995 it started offering Computer Secretarialcourse in Hongkong with a partnership with Philippine International Schoolof Hongkong. During those times she was later on established as a leader inthe field of career and personality development.
On October this year CDCC will be celebrating its 42nd year anniversaryand it still has a lot to offer. Time and again she has proven herself to beone of the best and the top choice learning institution in our generation. It offers Fashion Design, Executive Assistants, Travel and Tourism courses. Italso specializes in Personality Development; namely the Corporate Image (for men and women ), Speak Easy ( speech improvement and presentationskills ), Star Course ( basic and advance modeling ), Young Image for kids andSavvy Skills for Teens.
She also conducts seminars for top multinational companies locally andabroad. She has presented several training sessions in Bahrain, Singapore,Hongkong, Malaysia, Jakarta, Brunei and other parts of the Southeast Asianregion.

Guided byits noble task and her passion to improve every aspect of an individualspersonality, she never fails to bring out the best in anyone to have confidence, independence and motivation necessary to succeed in life.

The date is 25 May 2010, on a hot and humid Tuesday night. We were at
the New Zealand Ambassadors residence at the Forbes. I thought it was just
another Philippine-New Zealand Business Council meeting, however thatnight was different.
That night, the New Zealand Ambassador Andrew Matheson, together
with Andy White Second Secretary and Deputy Head of Mission, Net
Bernales New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) Trade Commissioner,
and Mr Ramon Kabigting Assistant Secretary of the Department of
Trade and Industry (DTI) talked about the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand
Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA).
The discussion moved me on how really important it is for both countries
to keep the relationship between the two countries strong. This is a great
achievement for the Philippines to be one of the first countries in the ASEAN
region to sign such agreements with New Zealand. This agreement does not
only mean good news for the business community but is also good news in
terms of cultural exchanges and, of course, the migration of Filipinos to New
Zealand.
You probably did not know that the Philippines (or us the Pinoys) is the 4th
largest source of migrants to New Zealand in 2009, and that the Philippines
is one of the biggest (if not the largest) importer of dairy products from New
Zealand. So you can see that it is a win-win for both countries, New Zealand
provides the dairy, the Philippines provides the skilled migrants!
There are exactly 307 universities in the Philippines that are in the
Immigration New Zealand List of Qualifications Exempted from Assessment
(LQEA). This means that if you graduated from these universities at the
specified year and above, your qualification automatically gains 50 points for
migration to New Zealand. This means that your qualification is recognized in
New Zealand and that you would likely qualify for migration to New Zealand.
Add that the Philippines is a comparable labour market, which means
that the work experience you gained here in the Philippines is comparable to
work done in New Zealand, for Filipinos wanting to migrate to New Zealand,
it is not as hard as you think it is.
The AANZFTA will not only bridge the gaps in trade for both countries,
but will also give Filipinos the advantage in migrating to New Zealand. It has
already given our nurses, farmers and engineers some advantage compared to
other countries.
There are already policies in New Zealand immigration that are specifically
made forFilipino nurses, such as the Work Visa Specific Purpose specifically
for Filipino nurse to be able to work in New Zealand while getting registered
as a nurse in New Zealand. This is an indication that our nurses have the
qualifications and high standards that New Zealand needs. And watch out for
the Philippine Working Holiday Scheme that is in the pipeline.
From my experience with Immigration New Zealand and talking to New
Zealand employers, they do prefer Filipino workers/migrants as they are hard
working, can speak understandable English, and they stay on the job.
Having worked for the New Zealand government for more than 10 years,
I admire their (the New Zealanders) efficiency and work-to-life balance habits.
This is something we can and should learn from them.
Kiwis, as New Zealanders are called, are not much different from usFilipinos. From my point of view, they are the Filipinos of the western world.
They truly have similar traits the Filipinos have, they are hospitable, friendly,
approachable, and are always smiling. We are not much different from each
other.
Migrate to New Zealand! Its easier than you think. (Part 1 of 3)

The Philippines is regarded as one of the
riches countries in Asia in terms of its
wealth in natural resources, abundant
organic based herbal remedies, highly skilledwork force and now in the field of medical
research and science with the help of a
breakthrough and a new discovery in total
digestive health.
This is our very own version of the New
Probiotics Revolution that is sweeping the
world and once again the Filipinos are in
the forefront of this new found wonder. An
innovation made possible by the brilliance
of a Filipino medical scientist, Dr. Antonio V.
Jacalne. The multi-awarded microbiologist has
served his country very well and made us all
proud by etching a name in the field of MedicalMicrobiology here and abroad.
A respected UP professor and Chairman of the
Microbiology Department of the UP-College of
Medicine, Manila. He also received his Masteral
Degree in Public Health at the University of
Pittsburgh, USA and finished his other post-
graduate, technical and specialization trainings
in various science centers, laboratories, schools
and universities in different parts of the world.
At a still very strong age of 80, there seems no
stopping him from achieving breakthroughs
and milestones in his life. And in the last stretch
of his career he would be leaving us a legacy
that will forever change the life and put a smile
in every face of Filipinos.
The Microzyme is a unique probiotic health
drink especially developed and formulated by
Dr. Antonio Jacalne. It is the only product in the
world that has the 5 different genera of highly
trained Jacalne Beneficial Microbes, a probiotic
bacteria discovered by himself.
Probiotic is a combined latin prefix and a greek
word which literally means for life. Its a live
micro-organism thought to be beneficial for
our intestinal and digestive health. Probioticsis known to be responsible in maintaining
the proper microbial balance in our body also
known as good bacteria which can inhibit
pathogens and toxin producing bad bacteria.
Specific health benefits of probiotics are now
being studied and documented worldwide
including the alleviation of chronic intestinal
inflammatory diseases, prevention and
treatment of pathogen-induced diarrhea,
urogenital infections, and atopic diseases.
Microzyme is the best source of probiotic
health supplement in the market today. Derived
from the unique genus of 5 different beneficial
bacteria of Dr. Jacalne, it is also enriched with
natural enzymes from the 7 powerful organic
fruits found in the Philippines (banana,
calamansi, mangosteen, papaya, grapes,
pineapple and guyabano). A super antioxidantfortified with natural minerals, multivitamins,
amino acids, metabolites and essential
nutrients that our body needs.
Research shows that regular intake of a
probiotic health supplement enhances the
immune system thus prevent unfriendly
organisms from gaining a foothold in the
body. They prevent the overgrowth of yeast
and fungus and produce substances that can
lower cholesterol. Its widely recommended for
the treatment of Candidiasis - a kind of fungal
infection. Probiotics are also essential in the
treatment and prevention of thrush, vaginalyeast infections, and athletes foot. Microzyme
can help in managing lactose intolerance,
prevent colon cancer, improves mineral
absorption, reduce inflammation and prevent
the growth of harmful bacteria under stress.
Armed with a vision to help Filipinos and give
back to his country, Dr. Jacalne is joined by
her daughter Melaney, also a microbiologist,
together with trusted friends and colleagues
they established Sui Generis Marketing
and Development Inc. A company that will
manufacture and exclusively distribute
Microzyme in the Philippines. Its a 100%
Filipino-owned corporation, whose main thrustis to alleviate the standard of living of every

4. It also offer the last line of defense between
the body and the over 2100 toxins that may be
present in our drinking water.
5. Lastly, the solid block carbon from the

contaminants from the drinking water while

than bottled distilled water.
Ever dreamed of becoming a superhero and save the world? Well, for a Filipino inventor like Dinky
Hementera, you dont need to have superpowers to be a hero and save the planet. Being the current
head of the Zero Waste Recycling Movement of the Philippines, she continuously promotes and
adheres to the value formation of protecting the ecological balance of nature. She tries to reach out to
as many people as possible, down to the grassroots level, educating them to the proper ways and the
importance of handling waste disposal, garbage segregation and composting. Her own companies, Trevis Internationale and Plantex Solution, recently succeeded in launching
an advocacy program thru Plantex Green Advocates featuring multi-awarded and quality organic
home, personal and health care products which are guaranteed natural, safe, organic, bio-degradable
and environment-friendly.
A proudly Filipino-made products and company which bears the Green Seal of Approval granted
by the the National EcoLabelling Programme Green Choice Philippines (NELP-GCP), a national
marketing initiative for eco-friendly products. As part of her advocacies, Plantex is also one of the
major partners of Kapit-Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) Movement led by Gina Lopez of the ABS-CBN
Foundation and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), which aims to restore
the former glory of a once most prominent river system in the country.
but if were not going to resolve the cause of the problem down to the grassroots
level, were going to be faced with the same problem over and over again.- saidHementera
This is why her advocacy movement was born. Instead of her products going straight to the
supermarkets, she chose the direct sales method, a program which enables anyone to easily afford the
products. You can even become an Advocate for just a minimal amount and enjoy a chance to make
profit. Not only does it provide a sustainable livelihood income opportunity but also gives the Filipinos
a better way to promote awareness, show our patriotism and care for our planet.
Its a worthy cause especially for a Filipino which is in dire need of our support. Like many great
minds and inventors in our country, these are the unsung heroes often times overlooked and taken for
granted by our own government - a sore missed opportunity for our countrys chance of greatness.
For Dinky Hementera, showing our sincere concern for the environment is the first thing anyone
could do but being part of the solution is the next big step that can bring us closer to a new level
of change that deeply shows our gratitude to our
Creator. This is the legacy that we could impartfor the future generations of this country and the
world.

Lets go organic,

Water is an essential part of our systems daily
function. Our body is made up of 60% water and
in order to capitalize on its health benefits we must
make sure that we get our water supply from a
clean and reliable source. According to studies
done by WHO and the Mayo Clinic in the US,
our body needs at least 10 to 14 glasses of liquid
consumption to rehydrate, energize and to cleanse
every day.
Contaminated drinking water is the leading
causes of epidemic diseases especially in
developing countries like the Philippines. It is a
breeding ground for various waterborne viruses
and bacteria which mostly affects poverty stricken
communities. There are now several types of
cancer that can be attributed from the presence of
toxic materials found in our drinking water. More
than 2100 known contaminants are now found in
tap water, including several known poison like lead
and sulfur.
According to the EPA, lead in drinking water
contributes to 480,000 cases of learning disorders
in children each year in the USA alone. Drinking
clean and healthy water plays an important role in
the childs proper mental and physical development.
In order to prevent severe birth defects, pregnant
women are also advised to drink pure water.
The current water treatment facilities we have
are not efficient enough to control the outbreak
of dangerous bacterial contaminants in our main
water supply. The only way to ensure a pure,
contaminant-free drinking water is through the use
of an effective home water filtration system.
Reasons Why Use a Home Water Purifier:1. Water filters provide no bitter after taste and
removes unpleasant odor from the drinking water
by removing bacterial contaminants.
2. It can significantly reduce the risk of having
rectal cancer, colon cancer and bladder cancer by
removing effectively removing chlorine from the
water.
3. Water filters purifies the tap water to provide
