MASSACRE AT NAR SHADDAA

Nar Shadaa, the Vertical City, the Smugglers Moon,

was wracked with a travesty so massive that every

citizen has taken to the streets in search for blood.

This past week, terrorists infiltrated the Hutt

Consortium Tower, killing personnel indiscriminately,

laying waste to pleasure and slave chambers alike.

Their target: Durga the Hutt. They went down

Durgas private elevator to his party room, where

they then cut down any who stood in the way. Some

quick thinking personnel managed to have his Great

Obesity escape via an internal escape system to his

personal craft on top. When he narrowly escaped

into space, they followed, these terrible people, but

not before planting explosives in key points of the

tower, so that when they left, it ignited, explodingdown to the central pillars holding it up, eventually

tipping and falling, causing the entire Correlian Sector

to fall apart, go on fire, and generally finish what they

started. Deaths are in the hundreds of thousands,

and now every smuggler, bounty hunter, crime lord

and saboteur are on their way to avenge the fallen.

Consider yourselves marked, whoever you are,

because there will be no mercy, I assure you.

Anybody whos pocket has just gotten lighter, whos

friends are gone, and who has nothing but hate leftfor you, may whatever gods you believe in have

mercy on you, because I assure you they who are

coming for you will not.

MYGEETO: A PRAYER FOR THE REFUGEES

Everyone, regardless of who or where you are,please take a moment of silence for the

estimated 400 billion people who died in the

terrible tragedy at Mygeeto, Yaga Minor, and

hundreds of planets who in but a moment

forever ad their voices silenced. The supernova

was a surprise, but the five minutes that it took

to destroy the entire sector meant that those on

the furthest reaches experienced their deaths

with the horrendous consequence of knowing

the exact time and the exact horribly measure bywhich they will be killed, incinerated where they

stood, where they prayed, and even where they

loved. In but a few short minutes, every man,

woman, and child faced their deaths heroically,

unflinchingly, and hopefully at peace before the

holocaust hit. So I ask you, before you read

further on, please take a moment to read this

prayer and recite it in the memory of all the

loved ones who are now buried amongst the

stars, the fathers who will not return to theirwives, the mothers who will never see thei

children once more, and for all the children who

will never get to experience the pleasures of

living:

Tonight I light a candle for all the memories,

those of the mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers

lost to the towering inferno;

Tonight I light a candle to mourn all those whodied, those who no longer need to fear the flames

of the galaxy;

Tonight, I light a candle for all the refugees who

saw the face of darkness and still walk among us,

touched by the hand of fear, and I pray that they

may find peace;

Tonight, I pray for all those who lost family

and loved ones to this tragedy, who wish to

have held their hand one more time, heard

one more word, had one more laugh;

Tonight, I will stand united with the victims

of this tragedy and help them heal their

hearts and their minds.

moment, the lives, dreams, and hopes of

400 billion species were forever silenced. A

supernova, of a ferocity and size never

experienced before, ripped through the

sector, odd for the singular whisper of a

supernova. Regardless, I will not downplay

this terrible situation by proposing theories

on perhaps nefarious outside involvement.

The people who died, either facing itbravely, sadly, or even at peace are now a

memory, strong enough to maybe even

unite the two sides of this war to provide

care for the survivors and meaningful

change in a terrible crisis that would

otherwise fall to the side as both sides

continue mobilization. In the name of the

galaxy, in the names of all those who died

and who are suffering in dirty field

hospitals and decrepit burned buildings,we need peace now!

outlying worlds leading to an

unprecedented galactic catastrophe

with a 99.9% mortality rate. And yet,

could it have been avoided?

MYSTERIOUS CAUSES?

Such a massive explosion in this day and

age should have and very well could

have been predicted. In fact, reports

from the sector showed the health of

the sun to be near pristine, since the

Outer Rim Territories were late formed

for our galaxy, and their suns were

among the youngest. In fact, the deepcore has a few suns that have been

under constant observation for this type

of threat, but such an event outside of

the oldest stars has simply never

happened. A supernova of such

intensity has never occurred either,

almost like it was continuing to be

forced forward by some back force that

is unknown to scientists. Also, the oddly

red green glow of the massive explosionand flames do beg some consideration.

Also, some passing craft reported

hearing two explosions rocket in that

DESECRATION OF KORRIBAN

This past week saw a massive

increase in tomb robberies, raiding,

and in general break-ins at sacred

sites and ancient crypts. Was itbecause of me? At least one would-

be me was caught and said that he

had inspiration from my previous

article about the interesting things I

found on Dantooine. Well, I am here

to do two things: to say it is not my

responsibility when idiots get caught

doing what I love to do, and to also

chide those who get to do my job

before I get to it! Korriban was mynext destination!

Afterward, I tried to get in, but the

door was so badly bent inward that it

would not budge until I tried getting

through with a plasma cutter (though

judging by the markings on the door

someone already attempted this and

failed) Once within, the beautiful

statues were crumbled, the floors

scarred, and all the artifacts were

pilfered by someone. It was almost

cruel, crushing my hopes. Ahhhh,

whatever, Im already at Ossus so

good luck getting in before me, tomb

robbers. Whoopiee!

Well, regardless, I might as well tell

you why I went there in the first

place. I was going to go grab the

mask of Marka Ragnos, a powerful

artifact that at one point shifted not

only the direction of the spin of our

galaxy but also allowed new worlds to

be birthed and ended. As such, my

hopes were high, until I saw what I

was dealing with. The first major

obstacle to the tomb was a massive

corpse of a sith wyrm, as large as a

small city and more deadly

supposedly, but it looked like

someone scambled its brains all over

the valley.

THE BURNING OF CORUSCANT!

This past week, Coruscants planetary shield generator was destroyed in what appears to be a

terrorist act undertaken by fringer groups. Fringer groups exist within the wild space bordering

the unknown regions and have consistently lobbied for representation within the senate. Now,

their terrorist action has brought down the only thing keeping Coruscant safe from an ever larger

host of enemies. Grand Admiral Thrawn and the war machine of the Imperial Remnant have takenthis opportunity to deploy shielded asteroids, creating another even stronger debris shield around

our lovely planet, and just like the starcraft debris, they will eventual fall and cause immeasurable

destruction. Unlike the metallic parts of starcraft, that burn up most or cause fixable damage, an

asteroid of the average proportions would be enough to eliminate a quarter of a hemisphere upon

impact. New Republic Authorities estimate

that there are at least one hundred of these

massive asteroids around Coruscant, and

unlike before, when daring smugglers and

other diehards would chance the passage

through, it is estimated that the chances of

emerging merely alive are 1 in 727 billion.

Good luck to all of your supply runners, as

food and water are increasingly becoming

scarce, and even basic services are becoming

rather stretched thin as the war rages on.

May those who are on Coruscant please hold

on until supply lines get fixed once more.

Until then, care for your neighbors and take

this time to truly display the spirit of giving

that unites the New Republic.

RISE OF THE

REMNANT

War is upon us. Again. This time, an upstart

Imperial Admiral has declared war on

everybody responsible for the Emperors

death. A little late to the game, isnt she.

Someone apparently didnt tell her that the

Emperor died some 5 years ago now, and it

seems that she must have lived or guardedsome backwater area because she couldnt be

trusted or because she was a woman.

Regardless, this upstart will eventually be

crushed. She may have established a foothold

in Hutt space, but if there is anything that the

galaxy knows, it is to never take anything from

a Hutt. Her small fleet will fall quite easily, just

like her daring but ultimately futile attack on

Nal Hutta. I say, good luck to her actually, she

will need it if she thinks that she canreestablish the empire under her image. She

already has picked a fight with Thrawns forces,

so she cant seem to get any allies in this, and

the New republic will not tolerate another

warlord, so overall, this is one threat that will

burn and fizzle out eventually, like any

feminine trends. Anyway, take care this week

everyone, it has been a rough one for the

galaxy. I hope that by this time next week we

still have some sort of readership base, whatwith all these sectors blowing up and all. Good

BOTHAN ALLIANCE

The Bothan Alliance has decided to

support the New Republic today,

launching its fleets against nearby Imperial

strongholds and even assaulting crime

centers in Hutt Space. Needless to say this

did not please the Hutts. Today, Minister

of State Leia Oregana has signed a new

treaty with the Alliance, who will provide

five new fleets to the war effort of the

New Republic. This is a good move on

their part, seeing how close Admiral

Daalas forces are to Bothan Space and

just how likely it is that without assistance

they will be overwhelmed. Good luck to

them and to all the fighting men and

women in the New Republic.

HUTT CONSORTIUM

On a more bitter note, the Hutt Cartelshave effectively declared war against

everybody, starting operations against

Admiral Daalas Forces in the East and

Bothan Forces to the South. Once allies

with the Bothans, these overgrown

space slugs have decided that they did

not have enough territory and money to

their names and decided to slither their

way into other peoples business. I can

only give one word of advice for them:watch out for our giant saltshakers,

Hutts. You will find that a reinvigorated

Republic will not be so easy a being to

defeat as you would have liked. Also,

your armor looks tacky and non-

functional, perhaps you should have

someone with a brain design something

better.
