Classification of Frauds

Insurance Frauds are broadly classified as: ◦ Hard Frauds: (Fake Auto Theft, Fake Fire

thefts, or collusion frauds etc. – Here the claim itself is questionable).

◦ Soft Frauds: (Opportunist frauds – here claim amount is exaggerated on an otherwise legitimate claim).
