They stumbled over the stumbling stone. A9: A stumbling stone is anything that causes people to fall short of their goals. Jesus, the Rock, caused Jews to stumble, to act sinfully when they didn't believe in him, the true Messiah and Son of God sent to them.

A11: No, it's expensive. Laying real buildings' foundations requires careful planning, heavy equipment to remove tons of dirt from a deep hole, many strong building materials, and lots of labor. Likewise, your spiritual foundation will cost you much, if built correctly.
