Sightseeing in the Fortified Old Town

Initial successof reconstructionwork

Our breath stagnates in the scenery of hotWorld Ware II

The Old Town of Kostrzyn, former Küstrin, belongs

to the special fortified heritage as „Fortified City“,

embedded in a fortress monument.

During the final fights of World War II in April 1945,

this wonderful town was completly destroyed.

After the end of Cold War it was possible to open

this area for visitors and for reconstruction

strategies by the City Kostrzyn.

The destroyed Old Town shows the results of hot

war in reality. It is a monument against war and for

peace.Old Town Kostrzyn, 1921
