LOCATION

Caledon is a small village in County Tyrone close to the border with the Irish Republic. It is located 7 miles west of Armagh and 52 miles south west of Belfast. Caledon is a historic village and is a designated conservation area due to it’s unique architecture. In the 2011 Census it had a population of 468 people.

DESCRIPTION

These are substantial listed premises situated adjacent to the former court house in Caledon. The original front block dates from c. 1830 with more recent extensions added at the rear. The two storey block fronting is constructed in limestone stone walls and a pitched slate roof. The extensions are a mixture of stone with pitched slate of flat felted roof coverings.

Internally the building is laid out over basement and two upper floors and are now vacant having been previously been used as a public house up until about two years ago and prior to that as an hotel.

The original internal areas to the front of the building are largely unchanged and provide a bar and lounge areas with function rooms and a kitchen area to the rear. Further function and bar areas are located at first floor together with office and staff facilities.

The property is situated on an extensive site with an internal yard. This can be accessed from Main Street via an archway with a metal gate.
