Postconference workshop:Wednesday, 23 January 2013
10:00 – 15:00 Identifying critical success factors when selecting the right LNG storage technologies for a regasification terminal
When building an LNG terminal LNG tanks and storage technologies are aminimum of 33% of the total investment. Therefore it is crucial to expand yourknowledge on what types of tanks are most suitable for your terminal and tolearn from success and failure stories of other LNG terminalowners/operators.
Attend this workshop and you will learn:
/ How to select the right technology for a regasification plant and understand which ones are in use
/ Critical success factors to consider when determining the location of the terminal and technologies required
/ About new cryogenic technology being developed for LNG terminals/ How to utilise cryogenic equipment to increase operational efficiency/ About the benefits of cryogenic pumps, valves, tanks and vaporisers/ How to overcome challenges resulting from release of LNG vapors from a
storage tank caused by stratification/ Key factors to consider including environmental factors
Workshop leader:Naty Natarajan, LNG Tank Specialist
Preconference workshop:Sunday, 20 January 2013
10:00 – 15:00 Forecasting future supply and demand trends and mitigating risk
Attend this workshop and you will learn:
/ How to develop strategic alliances to manage supply and demand/ How to build partnerships with LNG exporters to allow for flexible
contracting / To evaluate and manage the future supply and demand risks of longterm
contracting/ Outlining how to deliver alignment through the phases of supply,
production, liquefaction, transportation, regasification and distribution to consumers
/ To dissect every risk potential so that each is identified, quantified, assessed and understood
/ Discussion on supply chain threats including political factors and piracy
Workshop leader to be confirmed
