Kent House Knightsbridge is a versatile

Victorian townhouse that stylishly

combines a grand royal history

yet has the intimacy of a private

house. It boasts many beautiful

period features including ornate

cornicing, marble floors, a sweeping

staircase and skylight, and large floor

to ceiling windows. The elegance

of the house provides the perfect

backdrop to any major celebration

including anniversaries, barmitzvah’s,

engagements and weddings.

a truly unique and exclusive environment,

spacious yet intimate, for both religious

ceremonies and celebrations.

Whether you are planning a chuppah or civil

ceremony at Kent House Knightsbridge, or to

celebrate Havdallah before commencing your

simchah after shabbat goes out, you can relax

knowing that the ceremony, the wedding breakfast

and the dancing will all be skillfully put together

by our dedicated events team who will guide you

as the day unfolds.

Our two downstairs rooms, The Rutland Room and

The Library, provide the perfect intimate backdrop

for your special occasion. Guests will enjoy a drinks

reception in the elegant Marble Hall before they

sweep up the Grand Staircase into the Sanctuary

which will be dressed for a party reflecting your

chosen style.

When it comes to planning a party, organisation

is everything. Our events team have many years’

experience in organising Jewish celebrations. The

team is headed up by Gary Peters who is a member

of our synagogue and has been voted as one of the

most influential people in the events industry by

joining the Events Magazine Top 100 Club.

You will have a dedicated events manager who

will work with you to help you plan your event,

taking the stress away and enabling you to

enjoy the occasion. We will make sure you have

everything in place at the venue as well as being

there on the big day itself, making sure that

everything runs seamlessly.

Civil Ceremony

If you are planning a civil

wedding, the ground floor of Kent

House Knightsbridge is licensed

by Westminster City Council as

a wedding venue. Once you’ve

chosen a date for your wedding

at Kent House Knightsbridge,

you simply need to call the

Westminster Register Office

for advice and book the date

with them.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Celebrations

The transition from childhood to

adulthood is the most important

ceremony of a Jewish girl or boy’s

life. Kent House Knightsbridge

is the perfect venue for bar/bat

mitzvah celebrations, enabling

you to tailor the space to celebrate

it in a way that reflects your

family. Celebrate Havdallah to

kick off your event as Shabbat

goes out, or enjoy an early

evening Sunday night party.

you a special Jewish environment

for your simchah.

Chuppah

Westminster Synagogue,

an independent progressive

Synagogue, is situated on the first

floor of Kent House Knightsbridge.

If you are planning a chuppah, and

you do not belong to a Synagogue,

you can be married under the

auspices of the Synagogue.

Rabbi Thomas Salamon would

be delighted to meet with you

to provide you with all the

information you need to make a

decision. Alternatively you may

prefer to have your own Rabbi to

officiate at the Chuppah.

Marriage Blessings

If one of the partners is not Jewish,

a marriage blessing ceremony is a

wonderful opportunity for families

to have their wedding solemnized,

after a civil ceremony has taken

place. Once again, this can be done

under the auspices of Westminster

Synagogue or a progressive Rabbi

of your choice may officiate.

Seamless Service

To ensure your event runs perfectly,

Kent House Knightsbridge works with

Evolve Events, an award-winning

management agency, who are now in

their 15th year of providing creative

and meticulously planned events.

The team is known for their seamless

service and attention to detail.

Their standard of service is warm

and friendly, yet uncompromisingly

efficient and professional.

Evolve will work with you to create

a unique, creative backdrop to your

event, bringing your ideas to life. Kent

House Knightsbridge is described as

a ‘blank canvas’ venue. This means

it can be subtly styled to reflect the

building’s elegant architecture, or

dressed with dramatic flourish using

theatrical lighting, opulent styling

and beautiful flower arrangements.

For other clients we’ve created a

range of events including winter

wonderlands, a tropical beach

complete with palm trees, along with

romantic 1920s vintage styling and

modern bright colour schemes. The

flexibility of the venue means it can

be styled to reflect whatever theme

you’d like to create.




Package Prices

The Kent House packages afford

you the exclusivity of celebrating

your simchah in a private house

in Knightsbridge, with a range of

budgets and tastes. The packages

include exclusive use of our

Victorian townhouse, a canapé

reception, 3-course meal, a four-

hour drinks package, venue styling

(including lighting and floristry),

entertainment and staffing.

Non-kosher catering packages

commence from £150.00 per

person (dependent on numbers)

and we would be delighted to

discuss your specific catering

needs so as to be able to provide

you with a firm estimate.

EntertainmentOver the past ten years we have forged close ties with a wide range of leading suppliers, caterers, florists, wine merchants and live entertainers.

Many of our events have benefitted from live music at the reception and close-up performers which helps to break the ice and get everyone chatting.

DJs and dancefloor are available to take the party into the night, including Israeli dancing and songs.

Should you wish to enhance your occasion we will be able to provide you with recommendations tailored to suit the celebration.

Located in fashionable and leafy KnightsbridgeKent House Knightsbridge is the first building

on the left as you pass through the security

gates at the top of Rutland Gardens. It is a

superb location, in a private and secure road

opposite the Army Barracks on Knightsbridge

and Hyde Park.

Public TransportThe closest underground station is Knightsbridge

on the Piccadilly Line. Take the Brompton Road/

Harrods exit; it’s a five-minute walk from the

station. Four bus routes, numbers 9,10, 52, 452

all stop just outside the venue.

Car parkingRutland Gardens is a private road and as such

there is no parking available. However, metered

parking, with easy pay by phone, is available

nearby on Rutland Gate, Trevor Place and within

Hyde Park on Carriage Drive.
