L19C. Intensity graphs

The double slit shows equally-spaced peaks with approximately equal intensity, although gradual fall-off in intensity from the central peak may be shown.

The multiple slit shows peaks with the same spacing as the double slit since the slit separation was the same. However, the peaks are much sharper.

The single slit shows broad peaks with a great fall-off in intensity from the central maximum. The first minima on either side of the central peak coincide with the m = +/- 1 lines of the double- and multiple-slit graphs.
