2. Scenario Scenario I have been working as a freelancer and have been asked to conceive, design and produce the main character for Rockstar Games new title, Rome X. The game is set in a futuristic Rome and is a role playing/adventure 3rd person shooter. I will write a profile for the game and character, which will be used to create a design pack using hand-drawn artwork, which will be developed into a 3D model of the character. 3. The Game Introduce Rome X is a free massively-multiplayer strategy game (mmo).It takes only 3 minutes to learn, and is extremely fun! Slaves riot led by Spartacus broke out and ravaged throughout the Roman Empire. Senatus sent the legendary general Caesar to suppress the rebellion, but the shadow of suspicion stirred situation, and the new flame of war ignited and raging over the country. You must pick a side in this troubled time, build up your own city, recruit an undefeatable army of veteran soldiers and celebrated generals, and bring peace again to this ancient land. Presented in fantastic graphics, Rome is a historical multiplayer war game you can enjoy in its depth of strategies, abundant elementals of units, equipment's, and futuristic style and weaponry. Features - User friendly guidance helping you learn the game in extremely short time. - Thrilling and interesting historical quests. - Fantastic graphics restoring the original history. - Regular updates totally free of charge. - Fighting with thousands of players! - Siding with Spartacus, Senatus, or Caesar, and leading their unique units and heroes. - Deep strategy including constructions, researches, troop training, equipment forging, etc. - Uniting your friends to form a great alliance legion! - Live chat with many channels making full interaction and communication! 4. Inspiration Inspiration: Ryse: Son of Rome and Total War: Rome II were the two games that inspired me to create this game other things such as films like 300 and Troy and Gladiator also inspired me to do this. The reason why I wanted to create a Rome game but futuristic is because I enjoy watching those style of films where it is set in the past and shows you what is was like back then and how they struggled and fort for empires between other armys and countries. The futuristic style that I wanted came across ideas from films such as Avatar and Star Wars where they have weapons that arent from this time. Also with the space ships and shuttles I wanted them to be in Rome but to match the style Rome was in. 5. Target Audience The target audience for my game I went of for the audience of roman films such as Gladiator, Troy, Spartacus. The audience will be targeted around 16+ year olds as it will contain strong language and scenes of a sexual nature. I carried this out by reviewing certain games around the 16+ year old market and a lot had to say that they didnt find it that strong within he game and didnt understand why it was high age rated, but then others said it should be 18+ rated because of the sexual matter and the gore that was in the game. I decided to keep it at 16+ because, although it has some gore in it when killing other people and strong language with sexual nature in it, there wasnt that much to complain. I also wanted to keep it at 16+ because a lot of teenage boys love killing games and games that have violence in them meaning the sales will go up if the age is lowered. 6. Market Research 7. Here are some of the building ideas that will be in the game, I want to keep the structure and style of the Roman empire back then still in the game but add a futuristic touch to the buildings such as invisible defences and unbreakable structures. A lot of the building designs within the game will be designed around he roman period exactly the same as back then. I will be adding a few touches towards the setting and style of the land so that it fits in with the scenario. 8. Here are some of the design research that I carried out to create this character, I wanted to keep the armour design like a roman without the futuristic style added to it. I wanted the armour to be a high in power suit like a general or a leader of some sort. I didnt want the armour to be too big or heavy for the character or even too massively detailed, I wanted to keep to the roman look. 9. These are the kind of ideas that I wanted my character to have such as the weaponry, including some weapons from the past added with a future touch to it, such as a bora sword with a spirit shield making the character look more interesting and better. 10. Here are two drawings showing what kind of idea I want my warrior to like, going for a classic roman look but with added futuristic style such as padding on the armour in the first one. 11. Here are some of the drawings of the weapons that will be used in the game, they have the old roman look but with a future design to it such as spirit shield. Here are some of the drawings of the armour that will be included with the game, it also has a Roman style but I wanted to keep the armour fully roman and nothing futuristic.
