Transcript of Flip It! Intro
Potential Benefits
• Increase in Peer-to-Peer Instruction• Introduce more complex material• Increase student engagement• Ability to interact more with
individual students• Greater ability to assess individual
comprehension
Impressions
• ALR Instructors– Students demonstrate a deeper understanding of course
material– We were able to introduce more complex simulations
• ALR Students– We were learning by doing, which certainly increased our
ability to retain and build on our skills.– It allowed me to absorb lecture materials at my own pace,
and to revisit concepts whenever I needed a refresher.– I left most classes feeling like I had a strong grasp of the
material. If I was confused, I could turn to my research partner, or to the instructors.
Impressions • Law Professors– Students came to class better prepared and the
quality of responses to questions was notably high.– I believe that students completing this course will
be roughly one year ahead of most other student I have taught in their ability to grapple with basic real world admin law problems.– Students showed increased mastery of complex
legal issues and confidence in researching, analyzing and applying the law to client problems.
