LOADING THE COMPONENTS INTO A PROJECT

MATERIALS

Flexiform Pico range blocks are standard family components. After downloading the file, unzip contents and move it to your project folder, then load into your project using the Insert – Load Family Tab.

In the project folder that you are working in, go to ‘Insert Tab/ Load Family’… Select the component from your saved location as shown below:

Navigate to the location of the saved Flexiform Pico range folder. Select the desired family to load from appropriate folder.

Flexiform MFC Top materials have been created using bespoke finish images. There is a folder called “Materials JPEG” included in the download of the Pico range.Save it locally together with downloaded files. When using an MFC Top material, re-link the image to appropriate file in the materials folder.

USING THE COMPONENTS IN PICO RANGE

CONTENTS OF THE PICO FOLDER

Flexiform Pico range comprises of multiple components which form a bench system. The folders within the download file are organised by component function and style.

GENERAL NOTES: There are three desk leg styles available.

Each leg style folder contains an option of Single Desk, Back To Back Starter, Side To Starter. The “Desks – Extensions” folder contains a Side To Side and Back To Back option that will fit any leg style.Cable Trays, Modesty Panels, Desk Returns and Height Adjustment Kits are optional extras.

NOTE: A project file containing pre-configured Pico benches is also available for download from Bimstore website. You can copy and paste ready benches directly into your project.

Alternatively to build your own bench, follow the instructions below.

STEPS TO BUILD A BENCH

SINGLE DESKSimply load in the desired desk shape into your project using the Load Family tab,then select the desired type from the drop down menu in project browser

BACK TO BACK BENCH

In your project go to Insert Family TabOpen… > Pico > desired leg style folder (Desks- Goalpost Leg /Desks- A-Frame Leg /Desks- Rectangular Loop)> Back To Back Starter Bench > Select a desk family from options available

In your project go to Insert Family TabOpen…> Pico > Desks- Extensions > Back To Back Extension > Select a desk family from options available to match the starter bench

In your project go to plan view.

In project browser select a starter bench and place on ground

In project browser select an extension bench and align it with the edge of the starter bench

Repeat adding extension desks until desired number of workstations is created

In order to add an end leg to the bench, select the last extension desk in the bench arrangement go to the properties tab and tick a box next to the desired leg style

In order to add a cable tray, using the Load Family tab, bring a Back to Back Cable Tray block into the project. In project browser select the desired tray size then hover over the centre of each bench section.

NOTE- cable tray block is only visible in Wire Frame Visual style at Medium or Fine Level of Detail

Divider Screens are available for download from Bimstore website.

SIDE TO SIDE BENCH

Follow the same steps as starter and extension desks for the Back to Back Bench but using corresponding Side To Side components.
