Always use lower of the two figures.Recommendations:Itisessentialthatallboltconnectionsbecheckedafterdrivingashortdistancewhenyoufirstinstallyourcrossbars.Boltconnec-tionsshouldbecheckedagainatregularintervals(probablyonceaweekisenough,dependingonroadconditions,usage,loadsanddistancestravelled).Youshouldalsocheckthecrossbarseachtimetheyarerefitted.Makesuretofastenyourloadsecurely.Pleaseensurethatallloadsareevenlydistributedandthatthecentreofgravityiskeptaslowaspossible.Crossbars must be removed when putting vehicle through an automatic car wash.Carrying Loads:Useonlynon-stretchfasteningropesorstrapstosecureyourload.Caution:Thehandlingcharacteristicsofthevehiclechangewhenyoutransportaloadontheroof.For safety reasons we recom-mendyouexerciseextremecarewhentransportingwind-resistantloads.Specialconsiderationmustbetakenintoaccountwhencorneringandbraking.Load Ratings:Maximumpermissibleloadis100kg(220lbs)fortwocrossbarsincludingtheweightofthecrossbars,5kg(11lbs).Whencrossbarsaretobeusedinoff-roadconditions,pleasebuildasafetyfactorof1.5intothisloadlimitforoff-roaduse,twocrossbars=66kg 145lbs).AlthoughthecrossbarsaretestedandapprovedtoAS1235-2000,off-roadconditionscanbemuchmorerigorous.How-ever,increasingthenumberofcrossbarsdoesnotincreasethevehiclesmaximumpermissibleroofloading.Note for Dealers and Fitters:Itisyourresponsibilitytoensureinstructionsaregiventotheenduserorclient.
