First Year Physics Prizes
- Single honours Physics students achieving an average of 60% or over and passing all modules in their first year will have their achievement recognised with the award of a scholarship (which includes a cheque for £200) at the end of the first year of their degree.
-Similar scholarships are also awarded to joint honours students, with an award of £100.
-A prize of £500 will be awarded to the first year single honours Physics student (or students if a tie) with the highest overall average mark

Coursework submission deadline
• Anyone who fails to make the Wednesday deadline can submit their scripts late provided that they have an acceptable excuse, but submission will only be allowed up until 12 noon on the Friday of the week of submission. Coursework received after this time will receive a zero mark
• Late submission of all paper coursework submissions (Newton, Quantitative and Frontiers) must be to the coursework coordinator – Prof Henini (Room C147) not your tutor.• Late submission of Computing coursework must be to Dr Dunn
• If, due to illness or other personal circumstance, you are still unable to complete the coursework by 12 noon on Friday, you will need to use the school's extenuating circumstances procedure. As soon as you are well, collect an Extenuating Circumstances Form (ECF) from the Student Support Office, arrange to meet your Tutor for guidance on completing the ECF and hand it back to the Student Support Office.
