Model ASC-1 supervises the output of up to three (3) primary amplifiers, as well as to one (1) optional backup amplifier. The amplifiers may be on same or different audio channels. One (1) Model ASC-1 is required for each three (3) primary amplifiers even if no backup amplifiers are being used. Model ASC-1 monitors and compares the channel-riser output on Model OMM-1 and Model OMM-2 to the Model EL-410D amplifier output. If Model ASC-1 determines the output of any primary amplifier is incorrect, it will automatically transfer operation to the backup amplifier. The backup amplifier may be shared by multiple Model ASC-1 cards, providing the ability to determine the primary-to-backup ratio. If preferred, backup amplification can be provided on a one-for-one basis, using one (1) Model ASC-1 for each primary / backup amplifier set. Each Model ASC-1 occupies one (1) Model OCC-1 sub- address. The address is set using an on-board DIP switch. A second DIP switch is provided for configuration of Model ASC-1. Connections between the amplifiers, audio-riser busses and to Model ASC-1 are made through the appropriate Models OMM-1 and OMM-2 screw terminals. Model ASC-2 from Siemens Industry Fire Safety is a MXLV card that plugs into one (1) slot of the Model OMM- 1 or Model OMM-2 card cage, supervising the output of one (1) primary amplifier, as well as one (1) optional backup amplifier. One (1) Model ASC-2 is required for each primary amplifier, whenever a high-power audio riser is to be connected to Model ICP Control modules, or to Model ZC Zone cards in remote enclosures, even if no backup amplifiers are being used. Model ASC-2 monitors and compares the channel-riser output on Models OMM-1 and Model OMM-2 to the Model EL-410D amplifier output. MXL / MXLV Amplifier Supervisory Cards Models ASC-1 and ASC-2

ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER SPECIFICATIONS

Product Overview Product Overview Model ASC-1: Model ASC-2:Model ASC-1 from Siemens Industry – Fire Safety is a MXLV card that plugs into one (1) slot of the Model OMM-1 or Model OMM-2 card cage. Model ASC-1 supervises the output of up to three (3) primary amplifiers, as well as to one (1) optional backup amplifier. The amplifiers may be on same or different audio channels.

One (1) Model ASC-1 is required for each three (3) primary amplifiers − even if no backup amplifiers are being used.

Each Model ASC-1 occupies one (1) Model OCC-1 sub-address. The address is set using an on-board DIP switch. A second DIP switch is provided for configuration of Model ASC-1.

Connections between the amplifiers, audio-riser busses and to Model ASC-1 are made through the appropriate Models OMM-1 and OMM-2 screw terminals. Model ASC-2 from Siemens Industry – Fire Safety is a

MXLV card that plugs into one (1) slot of the Model OMM-1 or Model OMM-2 card cage, supervising the output of one (1) primary amplifier, as well as one (1) optional backup amplifier.

If Model ASC-2 determines the output of any primary amplifier is incorrect, Model ASC-2 will automatically transfer operation to the backup amplifier.

The backup amplifier may be shared by multiple Model ASC-2 cards, providing the ability to determine the primary-to-backup ratio. If desired, backup amplification can be provided on a one-for-one basis, using one (1) Model ASC-2 for each primary / backup amplifier set.

Each Model ASC-2 occupies one (1) Model OCC-1 sub-address. The address is set using an on-board DIP switch. A second DIP switch is provided for audio configuration of Model ASC-2.

Connections between the amplifiers, audio-riser busses and Model ASC-2 are made through the appropriate Model OMM-1 and Model OMM-2 screw terminals.
