we chose the south West of the courtyard site of Bat Male Hall, where has two sides and could be created an enveloped space.

The corner has two wall planes that we can create our structure design to install the frame for hanging up the stars structure.

On the other way, the visitors can see our welcoming design with the natural world.

Origami is one of my interesting technique. When I attended at the preschool, students were introduced to the Origami. Not only let children happily play with paper and learn how to create the adventures, but also improve their inspiration to do something in the real world. I interested in both Ron Resch and Shegeru Ban' origami techniques. They are amazing creative artists.

What is a section design? The section design is the connection frame which link to the others. It expresses more stronger supportive combination of smaller parts to make attractive bigger design.

the paper folding which I learned from Ron Resch's video. I recalled back my childhood time in preschool, where I was introduced to Origami and enjoy my time spending with folding papers. Rocket, house, boat, bird, toy, plane, car, flower, etc are the famous folding among the kids.

In this time duration, we have to work the final model but the group project is selected from one of ours models. My last model is a combination of the paper folding (my own design of folding paper), semicircles, arc and supporting frame cards.

In this model, the upper folding paper intends to get the sun shape, different semicircles allow the air in and out, and the hierarchy design will be welcoming to anyone.

I made the same design as Katie’s origami star and created the left model but I opened the middle hole in the star to look nicer and let the air can go in and out. After cutting holes at the right model which was satisfy design and named as decoration.

We chose the best design from the students’ and selected Katie's Origami design. All of us followed her design to make each new model. Jyothi and Monica models were selected for our final group project.

We continued to discussing what kind of material would be used, measured how weight of hanging up, what kind of engineering method needed to use and how much the budget we should need to use.

The wood would be very heavy and we could not desire hanging up because it might too heavy, costly and more expensive. We decided to use the chip card and strong clear plastic string, hanging with the big plastic rope. We should save the budget as minimum and decided maximum to $800.

world, our group want to imitate the Japanese Origami folding in our design. We could not use neither wood nor paper in the construction so we decided to use the chip board which could be manipulated material and could be created the complex design. Our design might be used as temporary so we used the fishing line as a string to tie each connection instead of using glue, nail in transformation wall structure. As a short term preparation project and financially sustainable, we use the chip board. That malleable joints allowed the structural could have a sense of motivation with the wind.

ConclusionConclusionIn the short period, all of

us worked properly. I was happy to work as a team player, a video & photographer. Moreover, I spent overnight to draft two different designs (Before & After) Sketch Up designs.

The Sketch Up looks easily but as I am the beginner, I was very hard to draw with the Sketch Up. The hanging stars shape might be changed geometrically angle. That’s the priority problem, however, I could handle it and happily to share them to my group.

Finally I am so glad to learn the Design Studio I from Jerry that I get great achievement of future inspiration.
