ROMEO+Graeme Murphy is famous for bringingnew life to classic ballets, and now hestackled the greatest love story evertold: Romeo & Juliet. Traversing timeand place, Murphys ballet follows afeisty girl and a feisty boy who arewilling to take a stand for their love.

Young passion smoulders at its core, butMurphy also tackles the consequencesof greed and war, and asks whathappens to humanity when love dies. Thisgrand story is also grandly designed, with costumes by Australian fashionluminary Akira Isogawa and some ofThe Australian Ballets most ambitioussets to date. The result is a masterpiecefrom first blush to final devastation.
