APPLICATION AND INTEGRATION:  The purpose of this assignment is to give the student a creative and engaging way to apply and integrate key themes, concepts, and theoretical frameworks discussed in the class.  Therefore, the script proposal MUST demonstrate this through either:

(1) Writing a script proposal that conforms or adheres to the myths, stereotypes, distortions, and exaggerations of crime, criminals, criminal justice personnel, criminal justice processes, and the branches of the criminal justice system found commonly in Hollywood films

and/or

(2) Writing a script proposal in line with the alternative film tradition's worldview and its portrayal of crime, criminals, justice, and the criminal justice system and its personnel Make sure to review your notes and the readings for how the various themes and concepts can be integrated into your proposal, such as the “mean world view,” “private justice,” and “ideal man is the ideal cop” themes.
