This is the official invitation to all National Chess Federations of FIDE to participate in the World

The organizer invites all senior Ladies and Gentlemen throughout the world to participate at the 30th FIDE World Senior Chess Championship

(50+ 65+), which is to be held in Assisi – Umbria, from 05.11 arrival day till 18.11 departure day.

All players shall have reached their age of 50 and 65 (by December 31st of the year in which the tournament will commence). In accordance

with the FIDE tournament rules, the Championship will be played in four categories: age 50+ and 65+ (Open and Women)

L’organizzazione invita donne e uomini Senior di tutto il mondo a partecipare a questo 30° Campionato Mondiale Senior (50+ 65+) che si

svolgerà nella località di Assisi - Umbria, dal 05.11 arrivi al 18.11 partenze.

Possono partecipare tutti i giocatori, di ogni categoria, in regola con la propria federazione per l’anno in corso, che abbiano raggiunto la loro

età 50 e 65 (al 31 dicembre dell’anno in cui il torneo ha inizio).

In base alle regole FIDE il Campionato si svolgerà su 4 tornei età Over 50 e Over 65 (open e femminile).

Hiermit lädt die Organisation alle Damen und Herren der Kategorie „Senioren“ aus der ganzen Welt zur Teilnahme an ihrer 30.

Weltmeisterschaft in Assisi - Umbria, Italien ein, von 05.11 anreisen tag bis 18.11 abreisen tag.

Alle Spieler müssen das 50. bzw. 65. Lebensjahr innerhalb 31. Dezember des Jahres erreichen, in welchem das Turnier stattfindet. Laut FIDE Reglement werden 4 Turniere ausgetragen, Senior50+ und Senior65+ (Open und Damen). --------------------------

Esta es la invitación oficial a todas las Federaciones Nacionales de Ajedrez de la FIDE, para participaren en el Campeonato Mundial de Séniores.

Los organizadores invitan a todas las señoritas y a todos los caballeros seniors de todo mundo a participar en la 30ª Edición del Campeonato

Mundial de Séniores (+50 y +65) que será disputado en Asís – Umbría, de 05 de Noviembre (fecha de llegada) a 18 de Noviembre (fecha de

vuelta).

Todos los jugadores deberán haber cumplido 50 y 65 años antes de 31 de Diciembre de 2020. De acuerdo con las reglas de torneos de la FIDE,

el Campeonato será disputado en cuatro categorías: edades + 50 y +65 (Abierto y Femenino).

Our target is to organize the Senior World Championship at best, spreading the tradition of hospitality of Italy.

The players will certainly be interested in the programme, which will be lively and supplemented by several additional events:

from visits to museums, Blitz Tournament, FIDE Seminar, and tastings of local products.

As usual you will find in the prospect, the hotels available, rules and application form. You will also find a small map for an easier

arrival.

The Championship shall be played in 11 rounds of the Swiss System. The time is 90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the

rest of the game with an addition of 30 seconds per move starting from move 1.

Participation: player who is registered by his/her federation with FIDE ID. The Women Tournament will be played separately if there are more than 10 participants in total from at least two Continents. If there are less than 10 participants in one group, then there will be only one Women Tournament, with separate prizes. If the women participants are less than 10 in total or from less than 2 Continents, they will play in the Open Tournament with separate prizes. Prior to the beginning of the first round an appeals committee shall be elected by the players consisting of three members and two reserve. Possono partecipare tutti i giocatori, di ogni categoria, in regola con la propria federazione per l’anno in corso e provvisti di ID FIDE. Le donne disputeranno a parte il loro torneo per determinare la Campionessa Mondiale Femminile 2020 (50+ e 65+), se superiore a 10 partecipanti e minimo 2 Continenti. Se meno di 10 giocatrici o meno di 2 Continenti giocheranno nell’Open con premi separati. Prima di iniziare il 1° turno verrà eletto un Comitato d’Appello tra i giocatori e consisterà in 3 membri e 2 riserve. Teilnahmeberechtigt sind Spielerinnen und Spieler, die der Schachföderation ihres Landes angehören, und mit FIN. Die Teilnahme ist offen! Die Damen spielen ein eigenes Turnier zur Ermittlung der Senioren Schachweltmeisterin 2020 (50+ und 65+). Wegen der zu erwartenden geringeren Teilnehmerzahl sind folgende Voraussetzungen zu erfüllen: Die Mindestteilnehmerinnenzahl liegt bei 10 Damen aus 2 Kontinenten, wenn nicht die werden im Open gespielt. Vor Beginn der 1. Runde wird von den Teilnehmern ein Schiedsgericht gewählt, das aus 3 Teilnehmern und 2 Ersatzleuten besteht.

Participación: jugador tiene de ser registrado por su Federación con su Código FIDE. El Torneo Femenino será disputado separado si hay más de 10 participantes de por lo menos 2 Continentes. Si hay menos que 10 participantes en un grupo se jugará sólo uno Torneo Femenino con premios separados. Si el número de jugadoras es menos de 10 en el total o de menos de 2 Continentes, ellas jugarán en Torneo Abierto con premios en separado. Antes del inicio de la primera ronda será anunciado un comité de competición elegido por los jugadores, y será constituido por 3 miembros y más 2 de reserva.

The FIDE Technical Officials shall be announced one month before the event. The Appeals Committee members will be elected

on the technical meeting before the tournament starts.

A protest against the decision of an Arbiter must be submitted in writing to the Chief Arbiter, within 30min after the end of the game. A protest

fee of 200 Euro shall be payable to FIDE which is refundable if the protest is upheld. The Appeals Committee may also decide to refund the fee

if it considers the appeal was not frivolous.

Una protesta contro la decisione di un arbitro deve essere presentata per iscritto al Capo Arbitro, entro 30 minuti dopo la fine del gioco. Una tassa di reclamo di 200 euro è da pagare alla FIDE che è rimborsabile se la protesta viene accolta. Il Comitato d’Appello può anche decidere di rimborsare la tassa se ritiene che il ricorso non era frivolo.

Ein Protest gegen eine Entscheidung eines Schiedsrichters muss schriftlich an den Hauptschiedsrichter maximal innerhalb von 30 Minuten nach Ende des Spiels eingereicht werden. Eine Protestgebühr von 200 Euro ist an die FIDE zu bezahlen, welche zurückerstattet wird, falls dem Protest stattgegeben wird.

Das Schiedsgericht kann auch beschließen, die Gebühr zurückzuerstatten, wenn diese der Auffassung ist, die Beschwerde war nicht unwesentlich.

Un protesto sobre alguna decisión arbitral tiene que ser entregue por escrito al Árbitro Principal hasta 30 minutos después de terminar la

partida. La tasa del protesto serán 200,00€ y tienen que ser pagados a la FIDE y serán devueltos caso el jugador tenga la razón. El Comité de

Competición puede decidir devolver esta tasa caso considere que el protesto no sea irrazonable.

Winner and Senior World Champion 2020 (50+ and 65+) will be the person at the end of the tournament, who has scored the highest number of points. If two or more players are tied the following tiebreaks shall be used: a) Result of direct encounters between the tied players (applies only if all tied players have played each other), b) Buchholz Cut 1, c) Buchholz, d) The greater number of games played with black, e) The greater number of wins. The title of “Grandmaster” will be conferred to the winner of the 30th FIDE World Senior Chess Championship 2020 (50+ and 65+) who will receive Trophy and gold medal. The second place will receive a silver medal, the third place is awarded a bronze medal. The same rules for the medals award are applied to the participating women players, who play separately within their own tournament. Vincitore e Campione Mondiale Seniores dell’anno 2020 (50+ and 65+) sarà chi alla fine del torneo avrà raggiunto il maggior punteggio. In caso di parità con uno o più giocatori sarà così deciso: a) Risultato dei diretti incontri dei giocatori in spareggio (applicato se tutti gli spareggianti si sono incontrati tra loro) b) Buchholz Cut 1, c) Buchholz, d) Maggior numero di partite giocate con il nero, e) Maggior numero di vittorie Il titolo di “Grande Maestro” sarà conferito al vincitore del 30° Campionato Mondiale di Scacchi Seniores 50+ e 65+, che riceverà il trofeo e la medaglia d’oro. Il secondo classificato la medaglia d’argento ed il terzo la medaglia di bronzo. La stessa regola verrà applicata per il Campionato Mondiale Femminile che verrà disputato separatamente. Sieger und Seniorenweltmeister 2020 (50+ and 65+) wird, wer nach Abschluss der Runden die höchste Punktzahl erreicht hat. Bei Punktgleichheit gilt: a) Resultat der direkt Interessierten Spieler gegeneinander (wird nur angewandt falls die Punktegleichen alle gegeneinander gespielt haben) b) Buchholz mit einem Streichresultat c) Buchholz total d) größere Anzahl an Partien mit Schwarz e) größere Anzahl an Siegen Der Sieger der Senioren Schachweltmeisterschaft 2020 (50+ und 65+) erhält den Titel eines “Großmeisters” zugesprochen, und erhält die Trophäe und Goldmedaille. Für den 2. Rang gibt es die Silbermedaille, dem 3. Rang ist die Bronzemedaille vorbehalten. Die gleiche Medaillenregelung gilt für die teilnehmenden Damen, die eine eigene WM austragen.

El Campeón del Campeonato Mundial de Séniores 2020 (+50 y +65) será la persona que en el final del torneo tenga más puntos. Caso haya dos

o más jugadores con el mismo número de puntos serán utilizados los siguientes criterios de desempate:

a) Resultado directo entre los jugadores con los mismos puntos (solo aplicado si todos los jugadores empatados han jugado entre ellos);

b) Buchholz sin peor resultado;

c) Buchholz normal;

d) Número de partidas jugadas de Negras;

e) Número de vitorias

El título de “Grande Maestro” será atribuido al campeón del 30º Campeonato Mundial Séniores 2020 (50+ and 65+) y tendrá derecho a recibir

el trofeo y la medalla de oro. El segundo clasificado recibirá una medalla de plata y el tercero clasificado será atribuida una medalla de bronce.

La misma regla para será aplicada para los torneos femeninos disputados en separado.
