Welcome to the latest issue of inFocus

Hi, I’m Adrian Barrett, Contact Centre Operations Manager – Non-voice at Lifeplus.I manage the teams that respond to the German-speaking customer requests that come into the Contact Center that are not phone contacts. This includes answering customer emails and processing customer orders, faxes and returns, as well as ensuring all bonus forms are processed along with many other (sometimes quite complicated) tasks. We’ve grown from around 12 people to almost 30 in just over two years. We are a diverse, multicultural and multilingual group of people. Most people speak fluent German (as well as English, of course), but we also have fluent French, Spanish, Hungarian, Polish and Italian speakers.

We’re open seven days a week to ensure no matter when a customer sends in an order or emails us, they don’t have to wait more than a few hours for a response. We are very proud of this, and our customers tell us they appreciate being able to contact us on Sundays. I feel very lucky to be part of this great team of people. We work hard, but we like to have a bit of fun every now and then as well. We put people first—both our customers and our colleagues.

We hope you enjoy reading your latest issue.

What is it you do at Lifeplus? Inventory Control Manager at the UK Logistics Center.

Where are you from?Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.

What do you enjoy most about your job?The variety of work that I carry out. Although I am an Inventory Control Manager, I am often involved in other aspects of the logistics operation.

Name a memorable highlight of your time at Lifeplus so far…The opening of the new Logistics Center at Priory Point.

Where in the world would you most like to visit? I am very lucky in that I have managed to visit many different countries around the world, including living in New Zealand. One country left on the bucket list is Vietnam.

What would you like our Lifeplus members to know about your department that they may not already know?We are a relatively small team, and I am proud of how well we all work together to ensure that all orders are filled and dispatched on time. What’s the first thing you do when you get home after a day’s work? In my spare time, I am a Parish Councillor in the village where I live and I am also a committee member at the local social club. The rest of the time is spent with my wife and daughter.

What’s the most useful piece of advice you’ve ever received? Life is short, so enjoy every minute.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I wouldn’t remain anonymous and would visit all those places in the world I haven’t visited yet.

What’s your favorite movie? Star Wars! It was the first film I saw at the cinema in London’s Leicester Square.

Do you remember the first record you ever bought? The first record I would admit to was “Penthouse and Pavement” by Heaven 17—although I have a distant memory of a record called “Windmill in Old Amsterdam (I Saw a Mouse)” by Ronnie Hilton.

Are you an early bird or a night owl? I am a bit of a night owl.

If you could meet anyone from any point in history, who would you meet? Neil Armstrong.

“ The variety of work thatI carry out is what I most enjoy about my job. Although I am an Inventory Control Manager, I am often involved in other aspects of the logistics operation.”

A glimpse into the world of Lifeplus

For that reason, one of the most fundamental areas we focus on within our event program is ensuring we meet with our upcoming business leaders and get to know them on a more personal level as they embark on a more business-led journey with Lifeplus.

Our Bronze visit program offers Bronze partners who meet the relevant qualification requirements* the opportunity to visit the UK on a four-day business trip, giving them the chance to meet the UK team and develop their relationship not only with Lifeplus staff, but with each other.

During their stay, associates get to visit the European head office, one of the highlights of the trip for many. They get the chance to look behind the scenes of Lifeplus Europe, where we show them how we support their business, from taking orders and shipping products to paying bonus checks on time for all our partners. The visitors have the

opportunity to put a face to a name and a voice for the colleagues they are always talking to on the phone.

Visitors also receive presentations from our Marketing team to take them through the history and development of the Lifeplus brand, our values, and updates on exciting projects we are currently working on.

Some of our Diamond partners are also there to share their own stories and experiences so far, which are always inspirational, and there is a chance for people to ask them questions to help with their own development too.

The group also has the opportunity to experience some English culture with a trip to the beautiful city of Cambridge, where they have time for sightseeing and to buy a memento or two, plus take part in some fun team-building activities!

The trip concludes with a farewell meal. This is a time when associates can reflect on the week and what they have learned,

and continue networking with other Bronze partners—sharing stories and making new friends.

Bronze partners leave the UK full of energy and with more business knowledge, encouragement and reassurance that Lifeplus is exactly who we say we are—friendly people working hard to support others in achieving their best.

For more information on our UK Bronze visits, speak to your sponsor or call the Lifeplus Europe Contact Center. Telephone numbers can be found on our website at www.lifeplus.com as well as a list of all our upcoming events. Our next Bronze visit is 7th - 10th February, and we look forward to welcoming many more of you at Lifeplus!

*Our qualification criteria require associates to have reached Bronze three times consecutively in the past 12 months, counting back from the visit.

Here at Lifeplus, we believe success is built on great relationships.

“My favorite part was getting to see behind the scenes of my company.”

“Keep going at your own pace, be patient, you can make it.”

“Anything is possible, and anyone can do this.”

“You have to see it to believe it — I want all my partners to come here.”

“This experience will support me a lot in building my downline!”

“What a great experience — everyone in my downline has to come and see it with their own eyes.”

You’re so lucky! Shoji Koya, Japan“You’re so lucky!” was the phrase I heard from other senior Diamond members in Acapulco, Mexico, on my first Diamond trip in 1998.

I joined Lifeplus as an outsider who had no marketing or direct sales experience. Back then, I couldn’t understand why I was considered “so lucky.” But now I do. More than 20 years have passed since I joined, and thanks to Lifeplus, I have been enjoying life as I had imagined it—a simple, happy existence with my wife and daughter. We are always together, and we have fun every day.

I am lucky because I selected Lifeplus as my first network business. There are many other such companies in the world, including more than 5,000 direct sales companies in Japan alone. Some of my friends were involved in those network business companies, but I was not interested in them at all. When I asked myself whether I could talk about those products or business opportunities to my parents, relatives and precious friends, the answer was always no. Lifeplus was the only company I was willing to talk to them about, and I did so easily and proudly.

Product quality, price, company value and the risk-free marketing plan are the reasons I joined Lifeplus. I had only one concern at the time: no one had yet succeeded in Japan with Lifeplus. But I was convinced this was a great business for many people. Lifeplus had a strong business reputation, and the product reorder rate from my friends and family was

great. And indeed, I can now talk with pride about Lifeplus to anyone.

My motto is to enjoy life as much as possible. Although medical research and technology make great advances, we still live only once, and our time is limited. When I was running my own trading and translation services company in my 20s, and was in search of freedom from the corporate world, my financial situation improved as my business grew. But I lost a lot of my personal time, a dilemma faced by so many self-employed people. I was looking for a way to balance my life. I wanted time for myself and my family, and financial freedom at the same time. Lifeplus was the answer.

Even after we have enough money to live, we need “residual income” to enjoy life. In my 20+ years running a business, I haven’t seen any perfect companies. As Todd Burrier says, “Humans are not perfect and there is no perfect business, but Lifeplus is almost perfect.” It is a unique company in this industry. This is why I am sharing it with people around me.

I keep telling everyone how important it is to establish royalty income in addition to time-based income. It takes time to establish royalty income. If you tell people this honestly and help them accept your ideas, they will follow your example and you can enjoy Lifeplus more, as a real business.

Lifeplus gives you a never-ending chance to meet new people and tell them about

this business opportunity. The prospect list is endless! The key is simply to keep telling people about Lifeplus.

Founder Bob Lemon told me that our very first members, Audrey and Norman Rebsamen, haven’t stopped telling people about Lifeplus since the beginning. I was very impressed to hear that. Also, as my upline support (and great brother and sister), Gary and Rebecca, explained, we have to teach people that it takes time to get the real business going, and that it is important to be patient. As the sayings go, “Think globally, act locally,” and “Do the business as A-B-C, but don’t jump over to M-O-N-E-Y.”

I married Noriko in 1994, joined Lifeplus in January 1996 and achieved the Diamond level in late 1997. I started working at the business exclusively in 1998, at the age of 33, and we have participated in the Diamond Cruise every year for almost 20 years. My daughter, Tomoko, was born in 1997, and my wife and I were very fortunate to enjoy spending time together at home, doing housework, helping with Tomoko’s homework and playing together, seeing her grow as we also grew together.

Actually, we can learn much from kids. As Tomoko once said, “We had a wonderful time at Walt Disney World and on the cruise again last month, right?” and then she added, “Yeah, that was a lot of fun. So what are we going to do tomorrow?” Kids don’t look back much; they look ahead to enjoy more fun. So I say, don’t look back, but look ahead to a better tomorrow.

Even sponsoring just one person a month is great. So keep sponsoring—you will absolutely see your group grow in a few years.

Time goes quickly. Tomoko will be 20 soon, and she is now in college. I will soon turn 52, and I enjoy reading, playing softball in a local team every weekend and cooking with my wife. Of course, we are living a very healthy life, and we were so fortunate to be introduced to Lifeplus. I continue to recommend Lifeplus products and the business to people. So now I can say to you, “You’re so lucky!”

Active Week in CreteAchieving and celebrating the unimagined

Recognition, support and celebration are three key areas that Lifeplus promotes every day — and it fills us with pride that they are embodied by our network too.

Following the company’s rapid growth in recent years, Active Weeks are now a common tradition among our associates, with 15-20 taking place every year in numerous countries.

Recently, Andreas Müller, 4-star Diamond, invited all of his downline, along with family and friends, to a “Heaven on Earth” Active Week at the stunning Creta Maris Beach Resort in Crete, Greece, 9th-14th October 2016.

Though the active week didn’t begin as planned, it is sure to go down in Lifeplus history! In addition to having the enormous task of organizing logistics for 800 people from locations across Germany, on the day of the flight as everyone made their way to their local airport, Andreas’s team heard the news of a wild strike by pilots from TUI Group (the airline they were flying with!).

This left thousands of people stranded in Germany, but the team was determined that it wasn’t going to affect the Active Week! Demonstrating the true power of our people, all the Diamonds in Andreas’s team worked closely with the event organizers and were able to charter two planes to fly the 800 guests to Crete, leaving from Frankfurt and Hannover. By mobilizing

their entire communications network, this huge team spread across the country all remained connected; some even traveled over 600 km to ensure they caught the new flights!

That day over 100 flights were cancelled and 9,000 passengers in Germany were affected, so it’s astonishing that the Lifeplus teams were the only people on the two TUI planes that flew from a German airport that day. This built the atmosphere for the week right from the beginning, as a sense of achievement was shared across the network—the Diamonds even took over the role of air stewards to serve drinks to all guests on the flights.

“Focus on what you want, and not on what you don’t want.”

This famous quote summed up that Active Week from the beginning. This team was

determined to participate in the Active Week, and that’s exactly what they did. Arriving in Crete at 1 a.m. the next day, everyone was full of energy, enthusiasm and joy as the opening took place in the breathtaking Old Greek Amphitheatre. From that moment on, attendees had the choice to relax in the sun with their friends and families, or attend one of the various inspiring seminars and workshops given by Andreas Müller himself, various Diamonds in his network and well-known multilevel marketing professionals. This eventful week provided fun and inspiration along with ideas to help people to continue to build their own businesses.

With a visit from Lifeplus’ Antoine Kemmere, Key Accounts Manager, and Jeannette Wassersleben, Team Manager, the energy, team spirit and enthusiasm were felt in the air. A wonderful group of like-minded people spent the week together, sharing their ideas in the most beautiful setting in Greece.
