One Spirit Drum Circle Sunday, Feb 14th, 2pm $10.00 suggested donation Recurring 2nd Sunday of Each Month The circle has been moved to H.O.M.E. Center. We are going to start a Medicine Wheel for 2016. A stone and the elements will be added at each drum circle. Come and join the circle as we jour-ney through the wheel of the Universe. This is a multi cultural drum circle. We have extra drums and rattles to share. It is a safe, fun, and healing environment that is very good for your health. We take a break with potluck snacks. Inspired Minds Group “What the Bleep Do We Know” Thursday, February 4th, 6:30pm Main Building—Cost: Donation This 2004 film that combines documentary-style interviews, computer-animated graphics, and a narrative that posits a spiritual connection between quantum physics and consciousness. It was filmed in Portland, Oregon, and presents a viewpoint of the physical universe and human life within it, with connections to neuroscience and quantum physics. Some of the ideas discussed in this film are: Empty space is not empty; Matter is not solid; Electrons pop in and out of existence; Beliefs about who one is and what is real are a direct cause of oneself and one’s own realities. Meet Helen Mazza, a beautiful woman inside and out. Helen has been a H.O.M.E, Center member for many years but some of you may not know how Helen spends much of her free time. Throughout the year Helen works diligently and with love hand knitting and crocheting items to give as Christmas presents for 100 women who are in a Salem women’s shelter. She knits 100 fancy fur scarves, and regular knit caps of every color to match. When completed she adds a tooth brush, tooth paste, socks, and a chocolate Santa. She then wraps every one with a ribbon and bow and candy cane. She never thinks about the cost, but like many people she is on a fixed income and the cost is big. This selfless act shows the women in the shelter that someone cares about them at a time when many are feeling like no one cares. Helen is one woman, making a difference in a 100 lives and that is why we are celebrat-ing Helen Mazza in February, the month known for love and beautiful hearts.
