Rhonda held the winning raffle ticket for her choice between a Polaris 570 4-wheeler and a John Deere lawn tractor; she chose the 4-wheeler. The banquet, held Mon- day, February 17 th , at the Pontotoc County Agri-Plex, was a fundraiser for the 4-H livestock program. She had purchased her winning ticket from Maddie Cooley, daughter of Matt and Chris- han Cooley, granddaughter of Gary and Cheryl Cooley and Don and Juana Cooley, all former Allen residents now of Ada. Rhonda Wins 4-wheeler Pre-K Students of the Month Pre-K Student of the Week from Mrs. Mills’ class is Brax Wofford. Brax was born June 13, 2009 in Ada, Oklahoma. His family is his mom An- gela, dad Brad, and sister Maddox. Brax’s favorite book is “Charlie, The Ranch Dog”; his favorite foods are steak and candy. His pets are Jessie the potbelly pig, and Bonnie the baby cow; his friends are Brody, Owen, Grady, Shalyn, Amara, Maddox, Shayla and Tins- ley. Brax likes to play out- side, play dress-up, look at books, play with friends, swim, swing and play in the sandbox. Someday he wants to be a bull rider cow- boy. He is excited about going to school! Pre-K Student of the Week from Mrs. Laxton’s class is Kaleb John Dill. Kaleb’s birthday is Feb- ruary 20 th and he was born in the Carl Albert Hospital, Ada, Oklahoma. His fam- ily is his mom Teresa, dad Ryan, brother Ben, grandpa Tim Williams and grandma Joan Large. Kaleb’s favorite book is “Cat in the Hat”; his favor- ite food is chicken nuggets. His pet is named Ruby, and everyone is his friend. Kaleb likes to go fishing. Someday he wants to read a book. He is excited about school! The Pontotoc County Emergency MGMT Office will be sponsoring the NWS Storm Spotter Training on the 4 th of March 2014 at 6:30 pm at the Pontotoc Technology Center in Ada, Oklahoma. There is no registration necessary, just come and join us at that time if you are interested in the topic. Storm Spotting Training Out & About Allen —O&A— Dicky, Andre’, Makena and Saree Pegg enjoyed a recent trip to Disney World in Florida. They stayed at the Animal Kingdom resort where animals could be seen at all hours of the day. Their favorites to watch were the giraffes and ze- bras. Night-vision goggles were provided so they could watch the animals after dark. In addition to the Animal Kingdom, they also visited the Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Makena and Saree were dressed up as princesses in the “Bibbity-Bobbity-Boo Salon” and had breakfast with princesses Jasmine, Aurora, Snow White and Arial in the castle. The family also enjoyed parades, rides, meeting various characters, and watching the magnificent fireworks at the castle and Epcot. They visited Down- town Disney for shopping and the Disney Quest, a 5-story visual effect ar- cade. Universal Studio and Is- land of Adventure were other daytime excursions. During the evening they went to the Pirate Adven- ture show and the girls were dressed up as red coat soldiers and participated in the show. They also went to the Blue Man group show where the girls tried to hit big lighted crowd surfing balls. Favorite rides included Transformers, the Simpsons and Harry Potter. Dicky and Andre’ enjoyed every big roller coaster in each park – excluding the Hulk at the last park; they were tired. Leaving Central Florida, they traveled to Pensacola Beach and stayed the night, then on to Vicksburg, Mis- sissippi where they drove through the Civil War bat- tlefield. It was a wonderful family time!
