Pay Periods – Enter the number of pay periods used to calculate the employee’s pay for this process. The number of pay periods entered will reflect the number of periods the employee is taxed over. E.g. If a weekly employee is going on 2 week’s leave and paid in advance, change the pay periods to 2, so that the employee is taxed over 2 weeks

Deduction Periods – Enter the number of deduction periods used to calculate the employee’s pay for this process. The number of deduction periods entered will multiple any bank splits with a dollar amount.

Time Out Warning – Turns red as a prompt to save timesheet

Cancelling An Employee’s Pay For The Period

To submit the timesheet successfully to Payline, all employees must have payments.

To stop an employee from being paid in a period, select the “Cancel” check box for the employee.

Employees will only be cancelled for the current payroll process. To permanently remove an employee from the payroll, contact Payline to calculate a termination payment.

Paying An Employee For Multiple Pay Periods

If an employee takes leave and asks to be paid in advance, or if they are being paid more than a pay period’s worth of wages, you can alter the number of Pay Periods that the tax is calculated over. If the employee is paid into more than one bank account, you can also multiply the split amounts by updating the Deduction Periods.

Tips • The number entered in Pay Period (PP) will be used to calculate the tax on employee payments • The number entered in Deduction Periods (DP) will be used to multiply employee bank splits
