Welcome To The Martin County Fair!The 150th annual Martin County Fair, presented by the Martin County Fair Board, will be held August 17-23 with Entry Day Monday,

August 17th. It is a pleasure to give you this premium book that you may learn of the premiums offered in various departments as well as the rules and regulations of the association.

Admission: 9 & under free, Tickets: Tuesday, Friday & Sunday - $6.00; Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday - $9.00; season pass $20.00 in advance; $25.00 at the gate. Camper fee 28’ and under - $25.00; over 28’ - $35.00; non-electrical campers $10.00. The fair board is not responsible for any free giveaway.

NO CAMPER PARKING UNTIL MONDAY, AUGUST 17TH. The fairgrounds will be closed, with gates locked, at 1:00 a.m., opening at 5:00 a.m. each day.

Livestock Gate: Livestock Exhibitors Vehicle Pass Only must be purchased for $10.00 in the Fair Offi ce during the fair only. Pass must be attached to rear view mirror to drive vehicle onto the grounds. Must have regular pass or ticket for driver and passengers.

Deliveries: ALL deliveries must be made before 11:00 a.m. No vehicles will be allowed on grounds between 11:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.All Martin County 4-H and FFA members will purchase a wristband for $1.00 at the 4-H Offi ce. Members under 9 will receive a free wristband.Exhibit buildings open Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday, 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Sunday, 12:00

noon to 7:00 p.m.All open class livestock must be registered with the Offi ce on or before Monday, August 17, 2015.Out-of-County Open Class livestock exhibits will be accepted after August 17, 2015 in the order received until available space is fi lled. Exhibit superintendents reserve

the right to terminate entries when all exhibit space is fi lled.Livestock will be released at the time stated under the division listings.The 2015 Martin County Fair is a non-terminal show for all swine.The Grandstand will be open one hour before the start of each scheduled program.There will be ample auto parking space available free in the North Parking Lot. The area will be patrolled, however please lock your vehicle as the Fair Society

cannot be liable for loss or damages.All errors in premium awards or checks must be reported to the fair offi ce by the Monday after the fair. Enclose entry slips, checks, etc.*Open class checks will not be mailed. ** Signing will be made available if the fair offi ce is notifi ed by August 1st.Refer to General Rules and Regulations for other information.All premium checks must be cashed by September 30, 2015. Exhibitor is responsible for providing the stake.• Use your imagination. Your scarecrow can be scary or your scarecrow can be funny.• Keep in mind that scarecrows may be displayed outside. Weatherproof materials are suggested.

Heritage RecipeHeritage RecipeDo you have a favorite family recipe, handed down through the family? To celebrate families and the wonderful cooks that have provided great food throughout the generations enter your family's heritage recipe.

• Recipe on a 3x5 recipe card or typed on a 3x5 sized paper. • Photo of the family either making the recipe or of the various generations that have made the recipe or

any combination. (One photo only.)• An explanation of your heritage recipe and who and how your family has used it. Example: Our

sandwich spread recipe was always made by great-grandma Jones for the threshing crew that came to the farm in the summer. My grandma continued to make it for her family that they enjoyed on Sunday nights and my mom made it as a favorite when I came home from college. This should be typed if possible on white paper.

• All three (recipe, photo and explanation) should be clipped together with your name, phone and address on the back of each prior to entry in the fair.

• Only one entry per person per challenge.• Exhibitor may enter one 8x10 framed and matted photograph of a flower grown in Martin County.• Type of flower must be specified.• Photograph will be judged on quality of photograph, quality of flower specimen, creativity, color

and eye appeal

Wagons can be planted with foliage or flowering plants or any combination. Wagons will be judged on principles of design including balance, rhythm, dominance, contrast, proportion, and scale as well as the quality and condition of the flowers in the display.
