Farewell Speech for Class 10th StudentRespected Principal, Teachers and my dear friends.

We have gathered here today to bid farewell to the students of standard 10th. I am indeed

honoured to be given this opportunity to represent the students of standard 9th. Just when westart to get comfortable with a person, something comes to alter the recipe. In this context, I

would like to mention that for the past few months, the students of standards 9th and 10th have

indeed worked very closely together to organise various school activities which has helped us

forge close ties of friendship. And now, before we know, its time to say 'Adieu'. The Bible says

"To everything there is a reasonand a time to every purpose under heaven"

May I take the liberty to give you a piece of advice? Life is series of events, both good and bad.

No matter how deft your organizational skills, there will always be life influencing factors over

which you may have no control. As you embark on this new stage of life, you will be able to rise

to the occassion because of the values our school has taught you. On such occassions think of

principles our teachers have instilled in you and make us proud. "Change indeed is painful, yetover needfull", said Thomas Carlyle.

We are going to miss you very much. We pray that God guide you and guard you, as you

undertake this new and exciting journey of life.

Friends, today our minds are full of curiosity as in coming few months we will be entering awhole new world. But, we are little sad as our school, our lovely teachers and ourdearfriends willbe left behind.

Education plays a key role in modifying an individuals personality. It is like a basic necessity ofevery individual. I firmly, believe that the knowledge and values inculcated in us will surely helpus in the long run. V.P.Ms VIDYA MANDIR, DAHISAR this name aptly suits to our school, asour school really is a temple of knowledge. The students of our school are not only excelling instudies but also show casing their abilities in sports, dramatics and arts. Our school safeguardsour rich culture by organizing cultural programmes or by celebrating our traditional festivalslike Haldi Kunku, Aashadi, Ekadashi etc. Patriotism is imbibed on our young minds bycelebrating Independence day and Republic Day with great zeal. As students we should be proudto be a part of this institution.

Teacher is knowledge of treasure. She is a cool breeze of pleasure, the love and affection showedby her is impossible to measure. And therefore a teacher is rightly called as second mother of achild. Our school is gifted by efficient and affectionate teachers who help us in all rounddevelopment of our personality. I remember an old English saying when life happens to bedark, God sends an angel who lits up the candle and show us the path. But I would like tomodify this a bit when life happens to be dark, God sends our teachers as angels who lit up ourpath, show us the way and also accompany us throughoutthe journey.

They are like those potters who have moulded and given proper shape to our personality byrecognizing our inner capabilities and channelising them in proper directions.

X std is crucial stage of our life it is not the ultimate goal but is one of the most important aim tobe achieved. Failure and success are two sides of same coin. I remember an old Marathi saying-

Life is a long journey and X STD is one of the milestone which we will be passing very soon. So Iwish you luck and hope you all will come up with flying colours and take our schools name topinnacle of its glory. Today, in front of me, I can see the future efficient doctors and surgeons,

brave army officers, intelligent, scientists, talented artists and well versed writers and poets. Soin future I would like to see you all not only as good persons but also great personalities.
