Spring Cleaning, Inside and OutDear Friend of Nature,
Spring cleaning. Many people lookforward to it like having a root canal.Sure, it's a relief when it's over, but thethought of actually doing it can sendpeople running for the hills.
Well, cheer up. Spring cleaning doesn'thave to be a frightening experience. It'san opportunity to seize victory from thehands of dirt and grime, and receive awell-earned sense of accomplishment.
That same feeling can be yours when youinclude freshening up your backyardbirding stations to this yearly tradition.
Spring is the perfect time to clean all ofyour feeders, poles and baffles, repairany weather damage, rake up any debrisunder your feeding station and re-mulchthe whole area.
Birdfeeders and houses should becleaned and repaired for the upcomingnesting season. You will notice anincrease in activity at your feeders asyour birds are preparing for the energy-intensive breeding season. Welcomethem with a clean sweep of their home.
