■ Sadly no one in my family knows information about my great grandparents from my mom’s side.

■ My great grandma (dad’s grandma) name was Benita Regalado.■ Don’t really know the day she was born or passed away.
Why did they come here?■ For more opportunities ■ Raising a family■ Jobs■ Better future for kids■ A place to call home
Where did they first come?■ Both parents immigrated to the U.S. ■ Had to walk barefooted and sometimes there was no food■ First home was the city of Santa Barbara, CA■ Lived in small apartment

Where have they moved since?■ Living in Pomona, CA for 19 years
Why they have moved since arriving? ■ Better future for their kids
■ A more better job ■ Both been working for 45 years

Where are they now? ■ Is in a stable home■ Full time workers ■ Married for 27 years
Dad works at Jackson Manufacturing Company building library carts.
Mom works at a Thift Store. (not sure as what)
What part of the waves of immigration is my family?■ I’m not really sure, but my guess might be fourth wave immigration. I
did a quick research on my family tree, but didn’t find much information.
What do I think?■ I think it'll be really interesting to find out more history about my
family.I have heard a few stories about how they walked through the border of Mexico in the hot weather, sometimes went two days without eating, and just survived with water. It’s going to be fun getting to interview a family member and know more about their history background.
