What is FACSys®?

FACSys® is a network-based fax application that is installed on a Microsoft® Windows 2003 or 2008 server. When coupled with an intelligent PCI-based fax device, FACSys® allows any user or application to send or receive a document via fax in one of three methods.

SENDING FAXES

The FACSys® Desktop Interface is an optionally installed application that allows users to print any document from any application to their FACSys® Fax Printer, enabling them to fax documents directly from their workstation.

The FACSys® Email Gateway is an optionally installed component that allows users to fax any document from any application (that provides the option of transmission via e-mail), enabling users to fax documents directly from an e-mail platform.

RECEIVING FAXES

The FACSys® Desktop Interface allows for the receipt of inbound faxes through a manual or automated delivery process, and provides accessibility to secure image only documents support .tif and/or .pdf file formats.

RECEIVING FAXES

The FACSys® Email Gateway allows for the receipt of inbound faxes through a manual or automated delivery process directly to any e-mail address, and provides access to secure documents in .tif, .pdf or OCR’d .txt files.

SENDING FAXES

The FACSys® Active Fax Messaging Software Development Kit is an optionally installed tool kit that empowers programmers with the tools to control the fax session and automatically attach certain documents to an outbound fax transmission.

FACSys® also provides integration with any application that can produce a PostScript or PCL compatible document and a destination fax address with special embedded codes.

Allowing developers to customize FACSys® to meet their specific requirements with scripts ranging from DDE file commands to .Net 2.0 C# Scripts and embedded codes.
