The Challenge
The areas of compliance and risk assessment are becoming increasingly more challenging and onerous.
In the areas of façade assessment, compliance and remediation, those challenges are intensified.
The industry, government and authorities’ responses to the Grenfell disaster has been (relatively) swift and there is a clear direction of travel for all participating and responsible parties.
Changing regulations, new authority entities, new industry requirements (EWS1), MHCLG guidance and central government funding are among the driving forces behind the vigorous processes of assessment and remediation that are in play.
The Response
Our response has been to develop and expand our service offering and to build on our core skills and values to create technically proficient, user friendly and transparent services.
We have the expertise and team to assist property managers, owners, and other stakeholders on all aspects of compliance, insurance and façade related services including EWS1, façade assessment, MHCLG fund application assistance, remediation assessments and project management and delivery of major remediation contracts.
By bringing our inherent knowledge and expertise as chartered building surveyors we add value at every stage and ensure that the advice and approach for each and every instruction is both proportionate and compliant.
Where necessary we work with expert partners. Transparency and applying the focused expertise are paramount to ensuring that clients and colleagues receive impartial, balanced, and accurate advice.

As part of our due diligence, on most remediation instructions a high degree of forensic investigation into the history of a development is necessary.
Tracking down architects, developers, contractors, installers, and manufacturers must be carried out to the fullest extent before agreeing a course of remedial action.
This links in seamlessly with the on-site investigations and assessments and helps to ensure a sense of proportionality and accuracy when it comes to remedy identification.
