First, the combination of Germán Frers, John

Munford, and our yard, is as good as it gets.

Second, the project has been in the works for

many years and was unusually well conceived

and executed by a knowledgeable client.

Last, and in no way least, some very unusual

circumstances make this yacht available in far

less time and for far less money than would be

normally possible.

In the world of large custom yachts, words like “exceptional” and “unique” are used too freely and too often.

The fact is, it is difficult to create a yacht that truly stands out.

This yacht is a standout for a number of reasons.

Few new vessels have a better pedigree than

the 150-foot (45.5M) performance sailing

yacht now awaiting a new owner at the

Derecktor Connecticut shipyard. Germán

Frers, the Argentine designer whose name is

synonymous with some of the most famous

racing sailboats in the world, provided the

naval architecture for the project, while

award-winning British superyacht designer

John Munford created the interior concept.

Derecktor’s skilled craftsmen already have

completed 90 percent of the work on the

yacht’s next-generation aluminum alloy hull,

and the keel is complete but not yet attached

– ensuring a much faster-than-normal delivery

timeframe for an interested buyer.

Design

Thanks to the “modus operandi” implemented between our office and Derecktor’s, I have been able to work very closely with the yard and follow every step of the construction in detail. I can say without hesitation the results are as good as I have ever seen. – Germán Frers

The elegant, traditional interior furniture, built using honeycomb and foam cores, is light and of the highest quality, giving a feeling of sturdiness and strength to the very pleasant accommodation arrangement.

“This yacht is the ultimate owner’s yacht. She

has the classic feel of a J Class yacht with the

capabilities of a fast modern sloop,” Munford

said. “The raised and fielded cherry panel

interior is simply and logically arranged. The

full-width main saloon/dining room is partially

open to the pilothouse, giving the feeling of

comfort, space and airiness. The crew area

with its simple Shaker style, white painted

bulkheads with cherry furniture, makes a

generous and bright work environment.” The

designer continued, “Working with Derecktors,
