Happy holidays to our friends and associates. Since July we have traveled to many national and local shows. In almost every case, you our dealers, have had the best buying attitudes we have seen in the last four years. I hope it continues and your business sees more recovery over the next year or so. No, I still do not see the industry fully recovering for some time yet, but I do see new life in our existing dealers who are investing, looking at alternatives and managing their business’s better than ever before. We too have invested in new products and programs and it is paying off with new series of trailers like our I-Max Painted Custom and Phantom

Economy Aluminum Series. Where our custom trailer business was 95% OEM direct, it is now 60% OEM and 30% dealer and 10% other including International. It seems that dealers are looking for the best value, not only just price. EZ Loader has added value to your organization with what we have had over the last decade, including finance programs, new innovations, new trailer designs, and lots of new options that excite today’s buyer. Shipping to Canada EZ Loader ships to Canada and other countries on a normal basis. For years EZ Loader has taken a lead in making sure our trailers are not only certified for the US but also Canada. Most recently, Transport Canada has taken a big role in the importing of American trail-ers into their country. They are making sure that the dealer or as noted, importer of record is truly registered. Previous to this, almost all dealers were the importer of record, but they are not allowing this to continue.

This was a law that very few manufacturers and dealers knew existed. Today, in order to ship into Canada Pre-Certification must be approved and an authorized importer of record must be used that is also approved by Transport Canada. This has caused much concern and confusion in the industry, but today EZ Loader has in place our importer of record and our pre-certification and is shipping into Canada according to their laws.

EZ Loader is also EC authorized /compliant in regard to all trailers shipped to Europe. NMMA and NATM are working on this situations and will be offering seminars and information on it as they receive it. NATM will be focusing on this at their upcoming Convention in Ft. Worth, Texas February 8-10th. Transport Canada will be presenting their guide-lines in a seminar workshop at that time. Why NMMA Certified Plus NATM Compliant? Gary Potter, EZ Loader VP and GM is the present President of NATM and former Chairman of NMMA’s BTMA. He believes most dealers need to understand why they should be buying trailers that meet NMMA Certification and chose to be NATM Compliant. First, and foremost, it is important because meeting these criteria is the law of our Federal and State Government and it is the “right thing to do”. Meeting NMMA Certification means that the trailer company has had a 3rd party inspection of their manufacturing and product process. It meets the criteria for certification which is a guideline set forth by our industry that meets federal code. None of us, at least I would hope, would want to manufacture a product that just is not certified, safe or reliable to your customers. We at EZ Loader, manufacture trailers that are safe and reliable and meet that criteria. We are one of the few boat trailers companies that are both NMMA Certified and NATM Compliant. That is an additional commitment and expense we take on to make sure you and your customers are get-ting trailers that meet and or exceed the laws of state, federal and in some cases international governments because we think

that it is the “right thing to do” It is what keeps Americans safe on our roads and highways. Safety is a primary goal of NMMA and NATM’s trailer programs. In many cases not all trailers are equal in quality and performance. Dealers know what is right and what is wrong. Price and value are two separate things especially in the economic times we are living in. Saving a few dollars today, could cost so much more down the road. Today, in order to be a member of the NMMA any trailer manufacturer must be certified to meet the standards of our industry inspection process. Also, did you know, no trailer manufac-ture can be used as a PACKAGED TRAILER (including boat, motor and trailer sold direct to the dealer from the boat company) if they are not NMMA certified trailer? This is very important and something each and every dealer must be aware of if they buy a specific OEM

Boat Package. We know you have a choice but why take the chance of buying from a non certified trailer manufacturer without having the backing of NMMA and your industry? The industry, and we at EZ Loader urge you to consider buying what is safe for your and our boating customer, and look for the NMMA Certification Inspection Logo and the NATM Compliance Logo on the trailer. It is truly “the right thing to do”.

Pokutapalooza Lauren Pokuta, the daughter of EZ Loader Sales Rep, Michael Pokuta was involved

in a serious car accident and was airlifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital August 2, 2011. She has suffered a brain injury along with a broken clavicle, cheek bone, pelvis and a collapsed

lung. Lauren and her family need everyone's encouraging prayers and

support. With the help of a wonderful commu-nity, numerous friends and family fund raising events have taken place to help support the care Lauren will need. EZ Loader Custom donated an utility trailer in the colors of the Chicago Cubs that was raffled off at one of the events. New EZ LOADER Website www.ezloader.com In late November, the NEW EZ Loader Website was launched at www.ezloader.com. The site will feature all the EZ Loader products in both divisions. The site is easy to navigate and the home page features a slide show of the different products. The left hand column has the product category with a drop down menu when the mouse is floating over the picture. From there the user can select a model with a spec page. Select a model and a pop up screen appears where product features and trailers can be viewed. The parts e-store links are located on the left below the trailer groupings.
