to make sure that you can read and understand the story without a dictionary.

• Talk to your I-EAP teacher if you aren’t sure what level is best.

• Enter the title of your book to find your quiz.

• Can’t find your quiz? Talk to your teacher or Alan Bessette.

Taking a quiz• 10 Questions• 15 minutes (sometimes 6 or 10 minutes for easier books)

• Click on Next to go to the next question.

Take a quiz• Most questions are multiple choice.

• For some you have to put events in order (what happened 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.).

• Drag the events to the correct order.

Questionnaire• When you finish the quiz, there is a questionnaire about how you liked the book.

• Answer the questions and click submit at the bottom.

Check your totals • If you pass the quiz (60%),

the book will appear on your Mreader page.

• You have to wait 6 hours between quizzes.

• If you fail a quiz and want to retake it, you must ask your teacher for permission. You can retake a quiz only once.

• You have to read 32,000 words by the end of the semester.

Final advice• Easier levels have fewer words so you have to read more

books. BUT the quizzes for the higher levels are more difficult and thus more difficult to pass.

• READ AT AN APPROPRIATE LEVEL!!! • You should be able to understand the story without a dictionary.

• DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO READ ENOUGH WORDS TO REACH YOUR GOAL!
