Windows 2000 is the newest and most powerful version of the Windows

operating system. You can think of Windows 2000 as a combination of

Windows NT 4.0 with the Windows 98 interface; i.e., it combines the security

and reliability of the NT operating system with the device support and

ease of use in Windows 98.

Workstation 5.0) is the mainstream desktop operating system. It is also

the version of Windows 2000 that you would order for a home computer.
