CNG Trailers & Natural Gas Network

• SNAM started in the ’50s the use of CNG trailers to supply gas to off-grid Municipalities

• Once the local market was developed (i.e. new customers) SNAM connected the Municipality to the main network and CNG trailers moved to new places

• SNAM discounted the price of Natural Gas if compressed to CNG trailers and supplied to Municipalities

• When the network grown up, CNG trailers started to be used for emergency services and maintenances needs
