Experience the Oculus This is a virtual reality head-mounted display. This works with Autodesk InfraWorks 360 and allows you to immerse yourself into a project. This is cool technology that you can see the application in the gaming world, but can you imagine taking your infrastructure projects to stakeholders in this way? Don’t just imagine it, see /experience for yourself. The example here is the Fremont St., Las Vegas model. It contains all assets of a city, like buildings, roads, trees or electric lines, both overhead and underground. This has all been modeled from different data sources in Autodesk® InfraWorks ™ 360.

Wearing the VR headset you are literally dropped into the model in a fully immersive way. In fact, because you are immersed in such a visual way your brain can no longer tell the difference between what you’re seeing in the model and what’s outside the model.
Virtually stand on the famous Freemont street
As you look down and adjust the surface opacity you’ll notice that you can see pipes and utilities underground.You can experience the ‘as is’ of a city, and more over design tools in InfraWorks 360 allow users to create proposals of new buildings, roads, bridges etc. Actually all the infrastructure of a city can be designed and experienced in 3D.
