When it is necessary to remove components to ser- vice another, it should not be necessary to apply excessive force or bend a component to remove it. Before damaging a trim component, verify hidden fasteners or captured edges are not holding the com- ponent in place. SENTINEL HEADLAMP DELAY MODULE The H eadlamp Module delay s the de-activat ion of the headlamps for 45 Ϯ 15 seconds after the ignition switch is turned OFF. The driver engages the module by turning the ignition switch OFF, then turning the headlamps OFF. DAYTIME RUNNING LAMP MODULE The Da ytime Running Lights (Headlamps) System is installed on vehicles manufactured for sale in Can- ada only . The headlamps are illuminated w hen the ignition switch is turned to the ON position and the vehic le is put into motion. The DRL module receives a vehicle-moving signal from the vehicle speed sen- sor. This provides a constant headlamps-on condi- tion as long as the vehicle is moving. The lamps are illuminat ed at approximately 30 percent of normal intensity. XJ LAMPS 8 L - 1
