I want to express my sincere thanks for your support and commitment to Excelsior’s Annual Campaign and restricted funds in the 2011–2012 academic year. You joined more than 1,900 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends who generously gave nearly $500,000 to support Excelsior’s students and programs. Every gift makes a difference in the lives of our students and allows Excelsior to continue offering flexible, value-added degree completion options for working adults.

While we have completed our celebration of Excelsior’s 40th anniversary, the Annual Campaign and restricted funds will continue to play a vital role in providing scholarships for students and supporting faculty and programs. These initiatives are integral to the long-term vision of Excelsior College as an affordable option for those seeking to earn a degree.

Let me share some highlights from the year:

1,904 donors gave $490,529

$383,246 raised by the Annual Campaign; 1,830 donors

$13,690 raised in support of Military Spouses

$19,465 raised in support of Associate Degree in Nursing students

291 new donors to the Annual Campaign

468 donors joined the new Purple & Gold Society, recognizing donors of three consecutive years or more

579 students received financial aid in 2011–2012; 11,607 applied for financial aid

$107,283 raised for restricted (endowed) funds; 101 donors

6 new restricted (endowed) funds created; 38 donors

31 donors joined The Provost’s Circle, recognizing leadership gifts of $1,000 or more; $100,765.77 raised
