What is Mobile PHONE?

A mobile phone is a portable telephone that can

make and receive calls over a radio

frequency link while the user is moving within a

telephone service area.

Mobile Phone’s Evolution Till Now:

Motorola DynaTAC LG G6

Motorola DynaTAC: 1983

A full decade after that first cell phone call, this customer model finally hit the market, weighting almost 2 pounds and costing nearly $4,000.

Nickname “The Brick”

Motorola MicroTAC 9800x:

It was the first camera phone.

It features a dual color displays and an integrated camera with flash.

Additional features include high-speed data, Java, voice dialing, voice memo, call screening and PIM features.

Nokia 1100 : 2003 It features Nokia’s traditional-style

navigational keypad, which can be selected button to connect and end calls.

The 1100 and 1101 are only able to play monophonic ringtones.

It features a built-in flashlight.

Other features include a 50 message capacity, alarm, stopwatch, calculator, contacts storage (capacity 50).

Blackberry 7210 : 2003 The first color display

November 2005.

Nokia N73 : 2006 Nokia N73 is a

smartphone announced by nokia.

It features a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera.

It runs on Symbian v9.1 .

The N73 uses a database system for the supplied “Gallery” applications.

First iphone : 2007

The iphone is the first iphone model designed & marketed by Apple inc.

It featured quad-band GSM cellular connectivity with GPRS and EDGE support for data transfer.

It came with 2.0 megapixel camera with geo tagging.

HTC Dream : 2008 The HTC Dream was the first

commercially released to use the Linux based operating system.

It’s design features a distinctive “chin” on the bottom which houses 5 navigation buttons ( Call, Home, Menu, Back and End call)

A clickable track ball in the center which can be use for scrolling and selecting.

The device uses as 3.2 inches capacitive touchscreen LCD.
